Introduction Matani Kainuku, Nonahere Association, La Maison de la Culture (Te Fare Tauhiti Nui), Le Conservatoire de Polynesie Francaise (Te Fare Upa Rau) and Porinetia Adventures (Travel Agency) have the pleasure to announce the 2 nd Heiva International and the Ori Tahiti World Cup in March/April 2018. The Heiva International is organized to unite the nations around the world in a tradition of competition dating back thousand of years. This spectacular event takes place every other year giving dance groups time to prepare and improve in the following competition. The Ori Tahiti has gained worldwide visibility in the last years and is now a real forum for tahitians and enthusiasts of the culture alike to share their passion and experiences of the dance, music and culture through their presentations. The heiva international promise a stimulating, multi-disciplinary platform aimed at providing a competitive and enriching environment in which groups will be judged and critiqued to the highest standards. It will feature the best and brightest experts from Tahiti and around the world, who will share their compelling analysis and valuable insights. Heiva International Events OriTahitiWorldCup2018 PlaceTo ata The Ori Tahiti World Cup is a competition open to all BEST Dancers (Men and Women), BEST Groups from Tahiti and all over the world who placed 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd in a major competition. All best dancers, best dance groups will compete against each other to win the Ori Tahiti World Cup. Each participant will represent their country. Ori Tahti World Cup Categories: Solo Dancer, Group, Solo musician, Ra atira, Best Costume, Orero. OriTahitiMasterClass2018 ConservatoiredePolynesieFrancaise The Ori Tahiti Master Class is training course only reserved to the Group leaders, masters, teachers of group dances or dance schools from Tahiti and/or from a foreign country. The goal of this event is to exchange future projects or discuss issues about the Ori Tahiti meanings and rules. The main objective being that all masters talk the same language, pertaining the Ori Tahiti. It is an event to promote the Ori Tahiti and reach out to masters from all over the world. It is a training for Masters. OriTahitiCompetitionIMatavai2018 TahitiPearlBeachResort The Ori Tahiti Competition I Matavai is an international competition open to all dancers (Men and women) of every level. It is a traditional Solo dance competition with Ote a and Aparima categories only. OriTahitiWorkshop2018 ConservatoiredePolynesieFrancaise The Ori Tahti Workshop is a special workshop for local and international masters, group leaders, students wanting to increase their knowledge/skills on the Tahitian Dance techniques or traditional instrument. The workshop will take place at the Conservatoire artistique de Polynesie Francaise. OriTahitiCulturalExperience(IslandTourMa atahiti) PointeVenus The tour of the island/ma a Tahiti is two special events combined where you will experience and emerge yourself in the Tahitian culture. This tour is open to all locals and guests from all over the world. You will be able to visit and discover all the main cultural and historical sites of the island of Tahiti. At the end of the tour, the group will have a traditional Tahitian meal in the garden of Point Venus (A historic place). There will be a time for cultural exchange between artists by performing songs and dances.
