EVENT SITE PARTICIPANT GUIDE The official event site is at the parc au Fil-de-l'Eau/Mont-Tremblant City Hall, located at 1145 rue Saint-Jovite. You will find the following services and activities: Registration office for race kit pick up Finish area Baggage check Food and beverage Event exhibits, entertainment, inflatable games for kids Medal ceremony Babysitting service Starts for 1k and 5k Bus stating point for the 10k and 21.1k starts EVENT SCHEDULE Friday, August 12th 2016 5:00pm-7 :00pm Registration office opens at the event site for race kit pick up. 11 :59pm Online registration closed. ***NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION***except for the 1km kids race. For registration made online between noon and midnight on August 12th, the race kit pick up will have to be on August 13th. RACE KIT PARTICIPANT GUIDE All participants registered in the 1 km, 5 km, 10 km or 21,1 km will receive a race kit once they check-in at the registration office located at the event site. Online registration closes at 11:59pm on Friday, August 12th. For registration made online between noon and midnight on August 12th, the race kit pick up will have to be done on August 13th or August 14th. The shuttle is strictly reserved for participants registered in the 21.1km and the 10km. Please note that space is limited in the shuttle. Please do not wait for the last departure; you are responsible for getting to your start. Baggage check service and transportation of personal effects offered. Do not forget to check-in at registration and pick up your race kit and bib before heading to the start area. TRANSPORTATION TO THE 10KM START Shuttle service towards Hotel Château Beauvallon Leaving the event site between 7:00 and 7:45 (Last departure at 7:45, no exception; travel time 15 min.) There is no pick-up from the Tremblant resort to the 10k start (Château Beauvallon). *10km spectators and participants : There is no parking available directly at the start area; drop off only. There are a few spaces available, 500m from the start, on Rue Borealis and Rue Ernie McCulloch. 4
TRANSPORTATION TO THE 21.1km START Shuttle service towards the Mont-Tremblant Casino Leaving the event site between 7:00 and 7:45 (Last departure at 7:45, no exception; travel time 25 min.) Pick-up for participant staying at the Chateau Beauvallon and at the Tremblant resort (Intersection des Quatres Sommets street et Ch. Duplessis between 7:00am and 7:45am). 21.1km spectators: Parking is available at the 21.1km start for spectators *IMPORTANT : NO SHUTTLE going back to the start of the 10km and 21.1km after the event. PARKING AND SHUTTLE SERVICE PARKING AREA IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE EVENT SITE Many free parking spaces are available at surrounding business places within 700 meters of the Parc au fil de l eau (the registration office and gathering point of the event). Please pay attention for the RED ZONE, they are NO PARKING zone on the the day of the event. They are restricted area for road traffic, shuttle and emergency vehicle. Red zone details: Mercure Street to Suppère Street De La Forge Street to Suppère Street Lauzon Street to Léonard Street Suppère Street to Léonard Street PARKING AT THE 21,1KM START Parking available at the Casino of Mont-Tremblant for spectators. Access by P3 parking (traffic signs will guide you) There is NO shuttle returning to the 21.1km start after the event. 5
BAGGAGE CHECK AND TRANSPORTATION OF PERSONAL ITEMS A baggage check service is available to participants at the event site. You can leave your personal belongings (small sized) in a bag provided by the organization. The participants can claim their bag by presenting their bib at the baggage check tent located at the event site. Please note that there are no showers or lockers to store your valuables. 10km and 21.1km Participants: Participants using the transportation service must leave their bag in the designated area at the 10km and the 21.1km start before 8:15. These bags will be transported to the baggage check tent at the event site (finish area). 1km and 5km Participants: All participants using the baggage check service must leave their bag at the baggage check tent located at the event site, located at the event site. WATER STATIONS Water stations serves water as well as the X1 energy drink1; Vaseline and mini first aid kits, with ointment and band-aids, will also be available. A Boreale beer will be served to all participants over the age of 18, upon presentation of your race bib. Spectators($) Lunch tickets at a cost of 6$ will be available for purchase by spectators at Half-Marathon kiosks at a cost of 6$. TRAFFIC MODIFICATIONS PARTICIPANT GUIDE To help you plan your travels between 5:00am and 1:00pm on August 14th, the following modifications will affect traffic circulation in the area: RUE DE ST-JOVITE: Rue De St-Jovite will be closed between rue Mercure and rue Léonard closed between 5:00am and 1:00pm All services, including restaurants, boutiques, shops and grocery stores will be accessible. We do ask that drivers and pedestrians on Rue St-Jovite be cautious since all participants will pass through a running corridor located in the parking spaces on both sides of the street, with the exception of one section between rue Mercure and rue Léonard. Estimated event duration: 8:30am to 1:00pm MONTÉE RYAN: Montée Ryan will be open in one direction between the roundabout at the Montée Ryan Tourist Office and the Lac Tremblant roundabout. Montée Ryan traffic will be open heading North, in other words from the Montée Ryan Tourist Office roundabout towards the Lac Tremblant roundabout. Estimated duration: 8:45 to 11:30am RUE LABELLE: Rue Labelle will be open in one direction between Rue St-Jovite and the Montée Ryan Tourist Office roundabout The traffic on rue Labelle will be open heading North, in other words from Rue St-Jovite towards the Montée Ryan Tourist Office roundabout Estimated duration: 8:30am to 12:15pm Once participants arrive at Rang 8, Rue Labelle will be partially reopened for traffic circulation in both directions and this will be done as soon as participants advance on the course.
