The Bats led 4-2 going into the seventh inning, before a Chris Dominguez solo homer and Justin Maxwell two-run single fueled the PawSox comeback. It was the first time the Bats lost three in a row at Louisville Slugger Field since May 31-June 3 this year, when they lost four in a row to Toledo and Rochester. It was the first time the Bats had been swept at home in a three-game series August 11-13, 2015 against Norfolk. The Bats also fell to 12-8 in one-run games and 12-9 in series finales. WE RE ON TO BUFFALO: The Bats begin a four-game series with the Buffalo Bisons on Monday, the first time the two teams will meet this year. LOU hasn t fared well in longer series this season, owning an 0-4-1 record in four (or five) game series. Right-hander Jon Moscot will start for the Bats, coming off a solid home victory vs. Syracuse on June 15. He went six innings, giving up a couple earned runs on six hits, while striking out a pair. He didn t walk a batter, and he owns a 3.57 ERA in the three starts when he doesn t walk a batter, while owning a 10.80 ERA in the three starts where he s walked a batter. SUNDAY S PITCHING: Right-hander Stephen Johnson (0-3, 4.81) started just his second career Minor League game, going five innings, giving up two earned runs on four hits, while walking two and striking out three. Yesterday was also the longest outing of Johnson s career in 181 appearances. Steve Delabar gave up a run in two innings of relief, while Jumbo Diaz had his franchise-record 35.2 scoreless innings streak snapped in the eighth inning, giving up two runs on three hits in an inning of work. Michael Lorenzen pitched a perfect ninth, striking out two and remaining perfect on the year (4.0ip, 0r). A JUMBO CONGRATS: Right-hander Jumbo Diaz surrendered his first runs at the Triple-A level since June 8, 2015. His scoreless innings streak of 35.2 innings sets a Louisville franchise record. The streak, which dated back to last season, is over six innings longer than Pat Perry s previous record of 29.1 scoreless innings pitched in 1984. Diaz had gone 20.1 innings this season without giving up a run, walking six and striking out 24 in that span. In 20 appearances and 20.2 innings this season, he now owns a 0.87 ERA and has converted 10 of 11 save opportunities. IL BATTER OF THE WEEK: Outfielder Scott Schebler was named the International League Batter of the Week for June 13-19. Schebler joins Daniel Wright (Pitcher of the Week, May 16-22) and Jermaine Curtis (Player of the Month, April), as award winners this season. He s also the first Louisville Bat to win the Batter of the Week award since Yorman Rodriguez from June 22-28 last season. Schebler hit.318 with four triples, two home runs, and nine RBI for the week. He also tied for the IL lead in total bases (18) and extra-base hits (5). MORE ON SCHEBLER: In the month of June, Bats outfielder Scott Schebler is hitting.391 (25-for-64) with six homers and 15 RBI. He s drawn six walks and his 12 extra-base hits are tied for the most in the IL for the month. His 1.280 June OPS is highest in the IL, ranked nearly 200 points above second-place Josh Bell s 1.092 OPS for Indianapolis. Schebler also leads the IL in total bases (53), triples (4), and slugging percentage (.828) in June. If he hits another home run in June, he ll become the first Louisville Bat to hit seven (or more) homers in a month since Mike Hessman hit nine in May 2013. He s also the first player to total at least four triples and six home runs in a month since Louisville has been an affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds (2000). LOUISVILLE.500: With Sunday s 5-4 loss, the Bats fell to one game above.500 for the first time since June 12, when they were 32-31, before rattling off three straight wins in a sweep over Syracuse. If the Bats lose on Monday night, they ll fall to.500 for the first time since June 7, when they owned a 29-29 record after losing on the road to Syracuse. The Bats are also three games out of first place for the first time since June 12, when they trailed the division by 3.5 games. WHEN SCORING FIRST: The Bats started off hot with a 1-0 lead after the first inning, courtesy of a Scott Schebler solo home run. The Bats would eventually give up the lead, falling to 27-8 when scoring first. Their.771 winning percentage in those games is still good for fourth in the league, trailing Columbus (.813), Buffalo (.800), and Durham (.786). It was also just the fifth time LOU lost a game when they scored in the first inning, falling to 13-5 in those games. GOING DOWN THE ONLY ROAD I VE EVER KNOWN: The Bats split their recent homestand 3-3, after losing each of their previous two homestands 2-5. LOU isn t afraid to play on the road: they re 21-13 away from Louisville Slugger Field, good for the second-most road wins in the IL. LOU s.618 road winning percentage is also second-best in the IL, trailing only Scranton Wilkes-Barre (22-13) and their.629 winning percentage on the road.

On Rehab, Then Optioned: Moscot made the four rehab appearances with Louisville over two different stints. He made a start on 4/12 at Columbus where he took the loss for Louisville, and then came back to the Bats from 5/15 through 5/26, where he started again against Columbus (5/15, ND and 5/20, L), as well as at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (W, 5/26) before getting the call back for two starts with Cincinnati. When There s No Walks, Good Things Happen: He s been very good in two of his last three starts, going 2-1. He had a rough start on June 10 at Pawtucket, but that start was sandwiched between two very good ones, with Moscot going a combined 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA (two earned runs in 12 innings pitched). He didn t walk a batter in either of his two wins, striking out six. In the three starts with LOU that he s walked a batter, his ERA is 10.80 (16 earned runs in 13.1 IP), while his ERA when he doesn t walk a batter is 3.57 in three starts (seven earned runs in 17.2 IP).
