Shoot Out Rules Strokes are received where they fall on the card. White tees and Gold Tees- 100% of handicap. Net best ball of the twosome against the net best ball of the other teams. Ties- all ties will be broken by a chip off (closest to the hole) by each team. The chip off areas are pre-determined. Your partner may watch the chip, but all other teams must turn their back until the chips are completed.
Rules of Play Field is divided into brackets of six by combined handicap total Five matches will be played (Three on Friday, Two on Saturday) All Matches will be played off the low handicap in the match The highest point total in each bracket will advance to the Shootout Shootout winner will be the Invitational Champion and the Pari Mutuel Winner All bracket winners will receive gift certificates! Nine Hole Match Play- Net best ball of the twosome- 1 point for winning each hole. ½ point for all ties. 1 point for winning the match. 10 points possible for each match, 50 points possible Death Flight All last place teams after Friday will qualify for the Death Flight. The highest point total on Saturday in the Death Flight will advance to the Shootout. Any tie for first will be broken by Fridays point total or a chip off. Tees- White USGA Rules will govern all play! Tees- Gold If your Handicap plus your age equal or exceed 85 you are welcome to play from the gold tees. You will lose three shots off of your white tee handicap and you must play the gold tees for all of the matches. Embedded ball rule is in effect through the green except in hazards. Ground Under Repair is circled in white paint or covered with straw. Staked Trees- The stakes and ties are immovable obstructions. Mulched Areas- Free relief can be taken from all mulched areas. Flower Beds- Relief must be taken from all flower beds. Slow play- players shall maintain their position on the golf course. Please keep up with the group ahead of you. Power Lines- If your ball strikes a power line you must replay your shot. Suspension of play- One long blast of the siren Resumption of play- Two short blasts of the siren Ties in a bracket- All ties for the total points in a bracket will be broken by the result of the individual match. If a tie remains, then the match against the next highest team in the bracket will break the tie. Cancellations of the round- If one of the rounds is forced to be canceled, the committee will determine a fair way to decide the overall winner. Day One Canceled- Day Two Best Ball will take place Day Two Canceled- Points from day one will take priority.
