The Sonny Werblin Recreation Center pool is an 8-lane, 50 meter pool, with pedestal starting blocks and a Colorado Timing system. There is an auxiliary pool (patio pool) for warm-up and warm-down throughout the meet, and ample seating for spectators. The minimum water depth in the competition pool is 6 feet. The competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). The copy of such certification is on file with USA Swimming. Note that the host club must stay within the four hour per session rule. NOTE: The meet host reserves the right to scratch swimmers/teams that have not paid their entry fees and turned in their waiver forms by the start of the meet.

NJS LC meet entry process for meets without qualifying times: Entries: Meet Format Waiver: Internet Website Posting: Meet Requirement Statement: Coaches Eligibility: This meet will accept entries for Gold/Silver level swimmers first. For the first six (6) days (starting from the date the meet is posted on the NJ Swimming website) NJS LCM Silver time standards will apply for NJS athletes (make one cut swim three events). If the meet or particular sessions within the meet still have room on the seventh (7) day, the time standards procedure will be lifted. At that point, any level NJS swimmer will be allowed to enter. If any session(s) within the meet still have room on the fourteenth (14) day, then the NJS only restriction will be lifted. At that point, entries for non-njs swimmers will be accepted. Team entries are be submitted by e-mail to besmarttinc@gmail.com. The meet entry coordinator will respond to e-mails entries within 48 hours. If you do not receive an e- mail response within 48 hours, assume that your email has not been received. It then becomes the sender s responsibility to make sure that the host club's meet entry coordinator receives the e-mail. If you do not receive an e-mail response, you must contact the entry coordinator by email or phone. An Entry Summary with a signed NJ Swimming waiver and a check must accompany or follow each entry. Incomplete entries will not be accepted. Deck entries will not be accepted. The host club has the right to scratch swimmers/teams that have not paid their entry fees and turned in their waiver forms. Teams entered will be posted at www.besmarttinc.com. If the meet fills and teams are closed out, then in order to provide the most splash opportunities, upon receipt of entries, the host team will allow all teams 5 days to pre-meet scratch (reduce their entries). This pre-meet scratch procedure is meant to allow additional teams into the meet based upon entered teams being good citizens and adjusting their entries based upon knowledge of swimmers non-attendance post entries received by the meet host. Room created by this procedure will be filled by entries received by closed out teams in the order the entries were received. The host club has the right to change the format of the meet with the approval of the sanctioning chairman and either the age group or senior chairman. Downloadable Results (Zipped.CL2 &.HY3 files) for TM Printable meet results (.PDF file) In order to be eligible for the New Jersey Swimming Zone Championship Team or for NJ Swimming Athlete Travel Grants for sectional and national level meets, NJ Swimming policy stipulates certain participation requirements. As a New Jersey Swimming sanctioned meet, this meet counts towards these participation requirements. All coaches on the deck must be currently registered coach members of USA Swimming. Coaches must show valid coaching card for entrance to facility. Coaches must have coaching card visible at all times while on deck. Coaches must have a visible coach s card when entering hospitality area.

Swimmer Eligibility: Time Trial Eligibility: USA-S Racing Start Certification Statement: USA-S Deck Change Policy Statement: Meet Format: Meet Schedule: All swimmers must be members of USA Swimming to enter and compete in this meet. All swimmers must be listed on a team s official entry form to be eligible to participate in this swim meet in any events. All transfer swimmer(s) must swim unattached for 120 days from their last attached competition. Swimmers must use UN-<New Team Alpha Code> as their team affiliation. All unattached swimmers must be listed on the team s official waiver entry form. For the first 6 days of entry acceptance, only entries for Gold/Silver swimmers may be submitted. After 6 days of entry acceptance, if the meet is not full, the qualifying times will be waived, and entries will be accepted on a first come basis. (See the section above regarding the NJ Swimming LC meet entry procedures.) Bonus Events: During the first six days of the entry period, swimmers who have at least one qualifying time will be permitted to enter up to 3 events. As per New Jersey Swimming Policy, swimmers will be permitted to compete in a maximum of 3 individual events per day. Age for this meet is calculated as of June 4 th, 2016. This meet is offering a Time Trial session after the 12-under session. In order to be eligible to compete in the Time Trial session, swimmers must have a SWIMS provable time in the entered event which is within 0.5 seconds per 50m of the 2016 Eastern Zone Sectional time standards. Entries for this session may be emailed to Ellen Mace (besmarttinc@gmail.com) prior to the meet, or the swimmers may sign-up in the control room during the meet. The entry fee for these entries will be $5.00 per splash. This session may be limited due to time constraints. Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. Changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is prohibited. This meet will be run in accordance to current USA Swimming Rules. This meet will be run as three timed final sessions, and one Time Trial session. This meet will be deck seeded, with coaches checking in/scratching all swimmers. When the seeding has been posted, swimmers will report to the blocks directly. The building opening time will be no earlier than 7:10AM. This meet will have four competition sessions. Meet Schedule: Saturday, JUNE 4, 2016 Warm-up Start 13/Over 400 Freestyle Events 7:15am Session 1 7:50am Limited to 1 hour and 45 minutes (30 Minute Warm-up)

This will be published on the meet website and e-mailed to the coaches of participating teams at least one week before the meet. All teams will be given a minimum of thirty minutes of warm-ups. Warm-ups will be run under New Jersey Swimming Warm-up and Safety Guidelines. Warm-ups will include general warm-up lanes, sprint lanes, and pace lanes. All swimmers must enter the pool from the starting end of the pool. During the 12-under session, one or two lanes may be designated for 10-Under Only usage. Scarlet Aquatics Meet Marshals will monitor warm-ups. Warm-up Procedures: Entry Times: Heat Limited Event: 400 Freestyle Check-In: Starts: Scoring: Awards: Entry Fees: Admissions and Programs: Results: Host Club Responsibilities: Warm-up Procedures based upon number of entries: There may be a single warm-up session (up to 1 hour in length) with sprint lanes offered in the final 10-15 minutes of warm-ups. or (based on the number of swimmers/teams in the meet) The warm-up sessions will be two 30-minute warm-up periods divided by teams. There may be designated sprint lanes/pace lanes during the last 10 minutes of each warm-up period. Time Trial Session Warm-up: Warm-up for Session 4 (the Time Trial session) may be held in the patio pool if necessary. New Jersey Swimming does not allow NT or No Time to be used as an entry time. All entry times must be in long course meters (LCM). This session will be limited to 1 hour and 45 minutes, with entries accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Teams with swimmers who are beyond the session limit will be notified at least one week prior to the meet. Such swimmers may come and see if they scratch into the session. Otherwise, refunds will be given for swimmers closed out of the event or such swimmers can select to enter another event if the meet is not over subscribed. All check-in sheets must be turned into the scoring table 30 minutes before the start of each session. Swimmers that are swimming will have a line through their name. Swimmers that are being scratched will have their names circled with a SCR next to the circle. Swimmers scratching a single event will have a line through his/her name and the event number circled with SCR next to the circle. Failure to properly check-in a swimmer may result in that swimmer being scratched from the session. The host club will determine if overhead/fly-over starts will be used after a time line has been produced. This information will be published in the pre-meet information and posted at www.besmarttinc.com This meet will not be scored. Heat winners will be awarded. (Excluding Time Trial swims) Individual Entry Fee: $5.00. Make checks payable to: SCARLET AQUATIC CLUB Admission will be $10.00 per session and access to an online heat sheet. All participating teams will be sent the meet results via email. The host club will provide a single timer in each lane throughout the meet. The entry coordinator will create a warm-up schedule and timing assignments that will be fair and

Garden State Parkway Northbound Turn off at Exit 105 and follow signs for Route 18 North. After approximately 24 miles, you will pass the entrance for the New Jersey Turnpike. Proceed along Route 18 North, crossing the Raritan River (approximately 3.7 miles). Continue on Route 18 North to the Campus Rd. exit ramp on the right. Follow Campus Rd. until you come to the circle and take the first right off the circle onto Bartholomew Rd. The Recreation Center will be the first building on the left. Interstate 287 Turn off at Exit 9 Bound Brook/Highland Park." Proceed East on River Road toward Highland Park. Continue on River Road and you will pass under the overpass for Route 18. Make the next left onto Route 18 North, and take the first exit - Campus Rd. - on the right. Follow Campus Rd. until you come to the circle and take the first right off the circle onto Bartholomew Rd. The Recreation Center will be the first building on the left. New Jersey Turnpike Turn off at Exit 9, bear right after the tollbooths and follow signs for Route 18 North New Brunswick. Stay to the left to continue on Route 18 North. Proceed along Route 18 North, crossing the Raritan River (approximately 3.7 miles). Continue on Route 18 North to the Campus Rd. exit ramp on the right. After six days, if the any session of the meet has not been filled, event qualifying times will be waived, and entries will then be accepted on a first come basis until the session(s) fill.
