THE NORDIC TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIPS 2013 FOR POOMSAE It is my great pleasure to invite you and your national team to the Nordic Taekwondo Championships at Kisakallio Sports Academy, Lohja, Finland. The date of the Championships will be May 25 th, 2013. I hope you and your national teams will participate in this event and display the highest spirit of Taekwondo. Award presentation: 1 st place One gold medal 2 nd place One silver medal 3 rd place One bronze medal Trophies for National Teams: The first ranked team (all categories in total according to the following criteria: 3 points for 3 rd place, 5 points for 2 nd place and 7 points for 1 st place). 9. Competition fee: The competition fee is 40 per contestant/pair/team 10. Applications: The competitors and team officials shall be entered into the TPSS subsciption system (www.tpss.nl). If there are problems with entering the competitors, please contact kilpailut@taekwondo.fi. 11. Judges: 12. Officials: The closing date for the Entry Forms is April 26 th 2013. Each country is invited to send 3 Poomsae judges (WTF judges or first class national judges). The names of the judges are asked to be announced at the latest April 26 th 2013 to the Poomsae Referee Director of the Finnish Taekwondo Federation. If your country is not able to send three judges, please give a note to the referee director. The sending country shall cover allowance and traveling costs. Accommodation including full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner) will be covered by the Finnish Taekwondo Federation for all the judges from 24 th to 26 th May 2013. The names of the Poomsae officials are asked to be announced at the latest April 26 th 2013 to The Finnish Taekwondo Federation. The same accommodation fares apply for officials as for the competitors. The Finnish Taekwondo Federation will not cover their costs. 13. Medical control: Use of drugs or doping by any chemical substances prescribed in the WTF Regulations for Doping Control is strongly prohibited. The Finnish Taekwondo Federation may organize medical doping test among the competitors at random sampling and any competitor who refuses to undergo the testing or who proves to have committed a breach of the regulations for doping control shall be removed from the final standings, and a disciplinary action will be taken.
14. Liability: It is the responsibility of each participating team and national associations to ensure that sufficient insurance coverage has been taken out for all officials and participants. The Finnish Taekwondo Federation does not take at any responsibility for possible insurance or accident. 15. Head of Team Meeting The Head of Team Meeting will be held on Friday (May 24 th ) at the Kisakallio Sports Academy at 20 o clock. The compulsory poomsae will be drawn at the Head of Team Meeting. 16. Registration: The registration desk will be in Kisakallio Sports Academy main lobby on Friday (May 24 th ) from 18 till 22 o'clock. Competitors and team officials will receive their competition passports there. 17. Closing date for entries: The closing date for the entry forms is April 26 th 2013. Entries received after the closing date will not be accepted. 18. Payments: All the payments (competition fees and accommodations) should be paid together at the same time. The Finnish Taekwondo Federation will send the participating federations an invoice for the fees after receiving the entry forms. Accommodation: The participating National Taekwondo Federations will cover accommodation expenses of their respective teams. Accommodation includes full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner). 20. Transportation: The participating National Taekwondo Federations will cover all traveling costs of their respective teams. 21. Modifications: Transportation to and from the Helsinki-Vantaa airport or the Port of Helsinki will be arranged for those accommodated in Kisakallio Sports Academy. The fee for transportation is included in the accommodation fee. Modifications (participation and accommodation) received after April 26 th 2013 will not be accepted.
