Sample Itinerary Day 1- After the chart briefing and checkout we will spend the night on the boat in Athens, familiarize ourselves with the boat and enjoy the nightlife of the Plaka, setting sail the next morning. Day 2- We set sail for Epidhavoros which is on the mainland in the Peloponnisos area. Here is a small quaint village, but 30 minutes away is a theater that is still one of the best preserved Greek theaters and one of the finest pieces of classical architecture in existence. It s still used for concerts today, the acoustics are perfect! In the last 3 years they recently discovered another smaller theater under a hill of orange and lemon trees over looking the harbor. On my last visit there the dig and discovery were still going on. Day 3- We sail to Poros When you sail into Poros you see the town built on the rocky slopes of the island and as you approach you say to yourself this is a Greek island! It s one of the most beautiful approaches in Greece. There are several really nice bays for swimming, some with ruins dating back centuries. There is a marine academy here, great night life and wonderful tavernas and beautiful markets for stocking up on fresh fruits and veggies as well as a secrete bakery down an alley way with the most amazing bread ever! There is no sign; you have to know where this place is. The father and son don t speak English so brush up on your Greek or sign language. In Poros we can enjoy a group dinner at the Oasis Taverna for the finest the sea has to offer! We will take a head count this morning to see how many will be joining the group. Day 4- We sail to Spetsis - This history-rich island of tranquil pine forests was the setting for John Fowles' The Magus. This is a charming island and a great area to rent a bicycle and explore the coast line. Day 5- We sail to Hydra - An artists' hideout and not a car to be seen on the whole island. (one of my favorites) Why not take a donkey ride to the top of the island for a spectacular view and photo opts, later we will join the nightly sunset party at Hydronetta on the side of the cliffs, listen to classical music, sip a cocktail and applaud the sun making it's daily dip into the sea! Hydra is a great 2 day island if we want to spend some more time soaking up the atmosphere! Day 6- We sail to Aegina, the island of pistachios and octopus with a wellprotected anchorage. Hire a scooter or taxi and ride over to Agia Marina harbor for lunch and a hike up to the Temple of Aphaia, one of the finest Doric Temples remaining in all of the Greek Iles Day 7- We can leave early morning for a short 1.5 mile motor to a beautiful deserted island for swimming and sunning before sailing back to Alimos Marina
in Athens. Alternatively we can choose to spend the morning in Aegina doing some sight seeing before sailing back to Athens. Book your trip of a lifetime!
