28 th Annual Golf Tournament Thursday June 11 th, 2015 Moon Lake Golf & Country Club Boys & Girls Clubs of Saskatoon is a community-based organization. Our Mission Statement is: To provide a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life. Our Mini Club Programs are an essential program for children, youth, their families, elementary schools and communities in which they live! Our Mini Clubs are designed for children of families in need, parents or guardians entering and re-entering the work force, students and children at-risk. They also respond to the individual needs of the communities surrounding the school they are located in. Requirements for schools to qualify for this type of program include a high percentage of low-income families and a high population of aboriginal and/or new families to Canada. The goals of the Mini Club are to provide a care and recreational program for parents/guardians who are currently in or re-entering the workforce or attending any type of educational class. Our Mini Clubs are currently available at 8 schools and are open every morning at 7:30 and every afternoon until 6:00 all of them are offered at no cost to the families who use them. Community-based out of school programs like ours, have a largely untapped potential to support young people. Our dream is for every young person to have access to programs and supports that promote physical health, mental health and emotional well-being, while supporting families to become participating members of their community! These programs are crucial in reaching young people and their families when they need it most. Together we can make sure all young people are putting their best mind forward. We are counting on your support to help make this year s tournament another real success. Registration begins at 11:30 am with a shotgun start at 1pm, banquet to follow!
