Biography is an energetic singer/songwriter, an accredited music educator and certified fitness instructor who has developed a unique Fitness Rock & Roll program. Miss Amy prioritizes fitness into each performance appealing to the kinesthetic nature of young children, while drawing the audience into participating as no other musician on the landscape can do. And, her music is fun and contagious, too! Miss Amy & Her Big Kids Band is comprised of musicians who have chops. The band members have worked with many illustrious musicians including: Marshall Tucker Band, Los Lonely Boys, Bernie Worell, Richie Cole and the late Grover Washington Jr., as well as various mainstream jazz, funk and rock bands, and even classical orchestras. In fitness instruction for over 20 years and music instruction for over 9 years, Miss Amy is based in New Jersey and currently maintains her teaching schedule with the Lawrenceville School Children s Center, Bright Horizons and PEAC Health & Fitness. In addition she performs at libraries, schools and special events. Miss Amy is the performing talent on the 2004 NAPPA Gold and 2005 Creative Child Excellence Award winning International Baby 101 DVD and is a featured artist on the 2010 Grammy nominated Healthy Food For Thought: Good Enough to Eat CD.
