PoolLock Easy Pool Cover INSTALLATION MANUAL
The packaging of the PoolLock Easy Cover contains: 1. PoolLock Easy cover (rolled up) 2. One or two manual cranks (according to the pool size) Plastic bag contains: 3. Stainless steel pins with bushings to fix the cover to the pool surroundings 4. Rubber flexible fixation to stretch and fasten cover sides 5. Fastening belts and tightening ratchets For the installation you will need: Tools: 1 ea impact drill (cordless) 1 ea drill bit: Ø 10 mm (suitable for drilling to your pool surroundings) 1 ea hammer 1 ea tape measure Number of people: 2 persons - 2 -
During the cover installation, follow the instructions below: 1. Lay the cover down - - at the pool edge which it will be unrolled from. 2. One person holds one cover end, the other one unrolls the cover using the unrolling belt from the opposite cover side. 3. Place the cover so that its centre is in the middle of the pool. The overlaps on both sides have to be the same: 20 cm - 3 -
4. IMPORTANT: Start with fastening the cover at the pool side which it will be unrolled from. It is necessary to fix the pins to a solid surface. For each stainless steel pin drill an opening Ø10 mm and 80 mm deep. The holes should be 400 mm from the pool edge and in one line with fastening belts. Holes for tightening and fixing the cover to be drilled 400 mm from the pool edge. Ø10 mm depth 80 mm 5. Hammer the pins down to the floor. 6. Pull the pins up and put the belts on them. 7. IMPORTANT: Stand at the opposite side of the pool at the ratchets. In case of the stair cover, place the fastening belts equally in positions. For each belt drill opening Ø10 mm, 80 mm deep and 400 mm far from the pool edge. The belt is to be pulled through the buckle. Start to tighten the belts by using the ratchets. During tightening process it is advisable to swap the ratchets - always tighten each belt only partly and swap to the next one until all belts are well stretched. Then shift the grip to horizontal position. 8. For stretching and fastening the cover on the other two sides, drill the openings 400mm far from the pool edge. Each hole with Ø10 mm and 80 mm deep for fastening pins. First run the rubber fixations through stainless steel rings on canvas sides. IMPORTANT: Do not keep them on the cover if you plan to roll the cover up.the stretching fixations together with pins do not provide or create safety feature of the cover. Anyhow, they are necessary for preventing of possible cover damage in case of bad or windy weather. The openings distance (for fastening pins) from the pool edge may be also less depending which eyelet would be used. 9. IMPORTANT: The stainless steel pins have to be inserted and fixed in solid surface of pool surroundings and the Easy installation instructions must be followed otherwise the cover guarantee is not valid. Operating instructions 1. Rolling up (opening the pool)! Only responsible adult person is allowed to operate the cover! Remove all rubber side fixations to prevent possible damage of the canvas while being in rolled up form. Release the tightening ratchets so that the belts get loose. Remove the ratchets. Be careful not to roll them in to the cover. This might cause damage to the cover. Place the unrolling belt in the middle of the cover. Insert the crank into the roll-up profile. Roll the cover up by using the crank. 2. Rolling out (closing the pool)! Before and during the pool closing it is necessary to be sure that there is NO PERSON or some other object in the pool! Fix the stainless steel eyelets onto the pins. Drag the unrolling belt while standing on the opposite side of the pool. Carefully unroll the cover by dragging the belt. Fasten the ratchets according to point 8 of installation manual so that the cover is fixed in position. Check the belt fixations on both pool ends and tighten by using the ratchets until the cover is stretched enough. Put all flexible side fixations on the pins so that the cover is properly stretched and fixed also on longer sides.! Keep the operating cranks away from the children! It is necessary to keep the water level always in user level (at 2/3 of the skimmer), because of safety reasons and cover lifetime extension. This way we can avoid the possibility of overloading, deflecting or bending of Easy Cover aluminium profiles. Thanks for purchasing Easy Cover.
