Katinkulta SPA The spa has more than 20 pools: an outdoor pool, jacuzzis, counter-currents, massaging showers, a fountain, and, of course, a waterslide. Most of our horses are suitable even for first-time riders and our cozy stable room is a nice place to relax in before and after your ride. Riding on a lead rope, 1 hrs An introduction to the world of riding, a thirty-minute ride with an instructor leading the horse is a fun and safe way to try riding for the first time. Suitable for small children without previous riding experience. Riding lesson, 2 hrs Icelandic horse riding in our outdoor riding ring with a qualified instructor. Available during tourism off-seasons. Downhill car racing Try driving a race car down the Vuokatti slopes when all that limits you is gravity. The lift on the Western slope takes the driver with the car up to the beginning of the asphalted track, where the journey to the lower station will start. This activity suits everybody who can drive. To drive the track you need to be at least 150 cm high. Next to the main track there is a junior track for the younger drivers. Cars on the junior track are carried up and go down separately, safely and at a convenient for a little driver speed. Racing track is open from June to August. Snowtubing in Snowboarding Tunnel The 80 m long Snowboarding Tunnel and 20 m wide halfpipe are used by the athletes of Vuokatti Sports Academy for trainings. The height of the Tunnel allows to perform even the most complex jumps. The Snowboarding Tunnel is designed also for all the family to have fun, try snowtubing in the tunnel.

PROGRAMMES Deserted Island Excursion 2 days / 1 night Once you are in Finland, you ll see why it is called The Land of the Thousand Lakes. Vuokatti is surrounded by lakes and is part of Lakeland Finland where the lakes are many and people are few. This excursion will take you to one of the secluded lakes, to the roads less travelled, where you will experience Finnish nature on your own. When there is no traffic, no people, no electricity you will feel the nature on all your five senses; nature looks brighter and more colorful, food by open-fire tastes different and better, you can hear waves at the shore, smell the nature without distractions and feel the clean and fresh air through your body. DAY 1 Your experience starts in the afternoon when Safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation. You will travel approximately 15 minutes by car to shore where you will proceed to the boats. You can take a pick between canoe or Finnish traditional rowing boat to get to the island. Cosy and peaceful paddling or rowing to the island Honkinen where you will spend the next night. After accommodating yourselves in traditional yurts, guide will teach you skills you need in wilderness by setting a fire with your help. You will cook a small snack by the fire before exploring the island with the guide. Depending on the time of the summer/autumn, your guide will show and teach you about edible berries, mushrooms and flora which can be found on the island. ACCOMMODATION Aurinkokunta (Solar System) - cottages Aurinkokunta - cottages is consisted of six 2012 built two story units. Cottages are located in the close proximity of the Vuokatti ski slopes, ski tracks and hiking trails are also right around the corner. Here you can enjoy of nice and calming holiday but you are still close to everything in Vuokatti. Each cottage is 120 m², has fully equipped kitchen and cozy living room with fireplace. Downstairs one bed room with doublebed, sauna, bathroom and separate toilet. There are three bed rooms upstairs; two with separate beds for 2 persons and one with two beds that can be either separated or made as double bed. Upstairs is a second toilet. LARUS cottages LARUS-cottages are situated in a beautiful lakeside lot by lake Nuasjärvi, opposite of Holiday Club Katinkulta. Guests have opportunity to enjoy the own grilling place by the lake which has spectacular views over the lake. Cozy cottages gives possibility to spend an relaxing and effortless holiday in a peaceful environment. Cottages have fully equipped kitchen, living room, 2 or 3 bedrooms, bathroom, sauna and terrace.
ACCOMMODATION HAUKI vacation villas High-class HAUKI vacation villas are located in a peaceful and close to nature environment in a 2,5 ha area on the waterfront of Lake Iso-Sapsojärvi. Holiday houses are located only 4 kilometres from Vuokatti and 7 kilometres from downtown Sotkamo. The area is consisted of four different villas, which lie on a beautiful, and atmospheric waterfront lot. Top quality log buildings are built in 2010. There is unbelievable view from villas over the lake all the way to the famous Hiukka sand dunes. Villas have own 200 metres shoreline and in addition holiday villas have rowing boats, a shared pier with and a grilling place at the waterfront. The residents of holiday villas can enjoy spectacular nature of Kainuu all year round. In summer the own shoreline provides a great opportunity for fishing or just relaxing and enjoying the lake.
