It s ULM s first game against a ranked opponent this year. The Warhawks have faced at least one ranked team in each of the last three seasons. They held UL- Lafayette to a.111 (2-18) clip to open Sun Belt Conference play. In their last outing, they limited Penn State to a.150 (3-20) mark - ULM has held opponents to under 75 points in 51 of the last 52 games. It held a streak of 47 consecutive games which was the second longest in the country. It was snapped at Houston on a jumper with nine seconds left - The Warhawks have been without senior Majok Deng the last two games. Deng, who averages 18.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, was named National Mid-Major Player of the Week on Monday, selected by College Sports Madness. It came after he posted 22 points vs. Chattanooga and a career-high 30 points vs. UL-Lafayette, both resulting in ULM victories. Deng sustained lower leg injury earlier in the week and is out indefinitely for precautionary reasons - ULM is the first team receiving votes in the latest College Insider Mid-Major Top-25 poll (page 7) - The Warhawks have been strong inside this season and have outscored the opposition 212-156 in the paint 1

ULM led 51-50 with 6:44 remaining at Minnesota, and 40-39 with 5:34 left at Penn State. He s one of four returning starters and one of five seniors on the roster - Freshman Travis Munnings is coming off a career game of 22 points and 10 rebounds against Penn State. It was his second double-double of the season. Munnings is 39-70 (.557) from the field this year and averages 11.3 points and 7.4 rebounds per game - Junior Nick Coppola moved up to No. 10 all-time in ULM assists last game with 264 (page 6). ULM Notes Continued... Spencer (277 assists). Coppola has played 25 career 40-minute games and ranks second all-time in program history in career minutes per game. He played 1,384 minutes last year, third most in the nation and also third in single-season program history. Additionally, Coppola finished second in the SBC last season in both assist:turnover ratio (2.0) and assists (3.7 apg). He s started every game of his career - Senior Jamaal Samuel is coming off his third double-figure scoring game in a row against the Nittany Lions. It was the second straight game where he blocked three shots as he also did it at Kent State - Senior DeMondre Harvey has been very efficient for the Warhawks as he s hit 18-32 (.563) field goals this season. He s started the last two games in-place of Deng. Harvey is 18-22 (.818) from the free throw line, a big improvement compared to his 23-43 (.535) last season. He s led the team in field goal percentage in back-to-back years - The Warhawks are 407-173 all-time in Fant-Ewing Coliseum and went 14-4 at home last season. They are 3-0 at home this year - ULM never trailed in three out of its four wins this season (against McMurry, Northwestern State and UL-Lafayette) - Keith Richard picked up his 200th career victory as a head coach in an 80-64 victory over Northwestern State on Nov. 19. Both Deng and Munnings recorded double-doubles in the contest - ULM opened the season with an 88-43 victory over McMurry. The 45-point margin of victory was ULM s largest in school history in a season opener. The Warhawks improved to 47-18 all-time in home openers - Keith Richard is the reigning Sun Belt Conference and Louisiana Coach of the Year winner. It comes after a 24-win season, the third-most in school history and also the third biggest turnaround in the country from the year before. It was ULM s first 20-win season since 2001-02. Richard has more-than doubled ULM s win totals in back-to-back years - The Warhawks made a run to the CBI championship series last year for their 10th postseason appearance in school history and the first since 1995-96. They played their first-ever game in the month of April in their 64-year history. They were also the first team from the SBC to ever play a game in April - ULM picked up a pair of preseason honors as Deng was named to the 2015-16 All-Conference Second-Team, while junior Nick Coppola earned recognition on the Third-Team. Deng was also named to the College Sports Madness Preseason All-SBC First-Team while Coppola was Third- Team (page 10) - The Warhawks were picked to finished third in the SBC Preseason Poll. It comes after they finished in a tie for second-place in the SBC standings last season. In 2013-14, ULM was picked to finish dead last preseason - ULM enters its second season without any APR penalties which Richard inherited when he took over at the helm. A low-scoring affair ended in favor of Penn State, 54-50 over the ULM men s basketball program after a back-and-forth second half on Saturday at Rec Hall despite a career game from freshman Travis Munnings. ULM (4-4, 1-0 SBC), which was without leading scorer, rebounder and shot blocker Majok Deng for the second consecutive game, led 37-31 with 11:10 remaining in the contest before PSU (7-3) made its move. ULM s last lead was 40-39 with 5:34 remaining. Munnings poured in a career and game-high 22 points and pulled down a gamehigh 10 rebounds, which also matched his career-high. It was his second doubledouble of the season. Senior Jamaal Samuel also finished in double-figures with 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He also swatted three blocks. Brandon Taylor led the Nittany Lions with 16 points and seven rebounds. Payton Banks pitched in with 10 points. The game featured seven ties and nine lead changes.
