4 E+S trench shoring systems Linear shoring With linear shoring the soil outside the trench remains untouched - no adverse effects on buildings and traffic flow. Instead of permanently positioned hinged spreaders, the non-bending roller units of the linear shoring system hold the soldiers and thus keep the shoring panels in the trench apart. This way, the trench width remains completely uniform throughout all stages of the project. Linear shoring is suitable for cast-in-place concrete and can thus be flexibly used in all construction projects. With the optional E+S U roller unit, even larger vertical pipe clearances can be achieved. New! Deep linear shoring permits efficient operations at depths of 14 m. Module length Length of linear rail Panel height Vertical pipe clearance 2,25 m - 6,50 m (2,13 m - 6,38 m)* 5,13 m - 9,13 m (4,13 m)* 1,32 m / 2,32 m variable * Values for the single-slide-rail system in brackets
E+S trench shoring systems 5 Inner-city linear shoring During inner-city trenching operations, attention has to be paid to the numerous supply lines crossing the trench. At the same time it is essential that no vibrations are transmitted to the soil outside the trench because of housing close by, roads and rails often running alongside the trench. The new inner-city linear shoring piling frame system can be combined with the components of the linear shoring system from E+S -- with soldiers, roller units and large support panels -- for flexible adaptation to pipes and cables crossing the trench. This offers you totally new scope for cost estimation and efficiency. Module length Length of linear rail Panel height Vertical pipe clearance 3,70 m (2,84 m / 4,38 m)* 5,13 m - 9,13 m (4,13 m)* 1,00 m variable * Values for the single-slide-rail system in brackets
6 E+S trench shoring systems Magnum boxes The boxes of the E+S Magnum class have captured a leading position in the market for the efficient laying of unusually wide or long pipes. What distinguishes these boxes is their outstanding performance features such as shoring depth up to 6.00 m and trench width of over 4.70 m, with a vertical pipe clearance of up to 2.46 m. Shoring length Height of base unit Height of top unit Vertical pipe clearance Weight 2,00 m - 6,84 m 3,15 m / 4,00 m 1,32 m / 1,44 m / 2,00 m 1,75 m / 2,00 m / 2,46 m 1860 kg - 7130 kg
E+S trench shoring systems 7 Linear box The E+S Linear Box shoring system is a combination of slide rail shoring and box shoring. Thanks to the vertically displaceable roller unit (the principle of the linear shoring system), the shoring is extremely versatile and can thus adapt to a wide range of different site requirements. Like all E+S box systems, the Linear Box is transported and supplied in its fully assembled state so that only the extension bars have to be fitted to achieve the desired trench width. Shoring length Height of base unit Height of top unit Vertical pipe clearance Weight 3,40 m / 3,70 m / 4,00 m / 4,50 m 3,00 m 1,32 m / 2,00 m variable 2050 kg - 2940 kg
8 E+S trench shoring systems Medium boxes There is virtually no line of products in the Medium class that compares with the E+S range. The specific dimensions and design features of this shoring system make it suitable for universal and varied applications. In the medium shoring range - pipes up to 1.45 m external diameter - these boxes with a base panel height of 2.60 m are an international bestseller. However different the shoring system may be in size, all the boxes of the compact class - from the Lightweight through to the Magnum box - use one and the same strut system. Shoring length Height of base unit Height of top unit Vertical pipe clearance Weight 2,00 m - 4,50 m 2,60 m 1,32 m / 2,00 m 1,45 m 1460 kg - 2780 kg
E+S trench shoring systems 9 Lightweight boxes With base panel heights of 1.6 to 2.4 m, these shoring systems cover the entire range of applications in inner-city civil engineering projects. They are mainly used for the laying of pipes and cables for electricity, gas and water. The compatibility of decisive structural components of this little box make it particularly useful. Lightweight shoring is the smallest and lightest trench box in the E+S product range. It can be fitted with the superior, high-performance system spreader. Shoring length Height of base unit Height of top unit Vertical pipe clearance Weight 2,00 m - 3,50 m 1,60 m / 1,95 m / 2,25 m / 2,40 m 0,96 m / 1,32 m 0,81 m / 1,16 m / 1,19 m / 1,34 m 745 kg - 1540 kg
10 KRINGS trench shoring systems Universal DKU piling frame element The DKU Universal piling frame element has been re-designed to take account of practical needs and process conditions on the construction site. The outcome is a low-torsion and cost-effective shoring method with universal applications. Complementing proven large-area steel shoring, it is particularly suited to inner-city locations with supply lines crossing the trench. The DKU piling frame element is assembled and pre-adjusted in the much same way as the edge-supported shoring systems. Shoring length Height of sheet pile element Horizontal pipe clearance Shoring depth 2,27 m / 3,81 m 1,00 m up to 3,35 m variable
KRINGS trench shoring systems 11 Parallel shoring PV The high-strength PV shoring system for tough requirements in a heavyduty yet smooth-running version simplifies operations with the fixing of the vertically displaceable bracing frame in the position required for optimum structural strength. The frame keeps the slide rails absolutely parallel. This means that the frame and the various panels slide smoothly with little friction. This principle pays off particularly during shoring removal. The panels can be extracted with ease even from great depths. With the optional Krings U roller unit, even greater vertical pipe clearances can be achieved. Shoring depth Vertical pipe clearance Panel length Panel height up to 7,00 m (up to 4,00 m)* variable 2,00 m - 7,00 m 1,33 m / 2,32 m * Values for the single-slide-rail system in brackets
12 KRINGS trench shoring systems Single slide-rail inner-city parallel shoring During inner-city trenching operations, attention has to be paid to the numerous supply lines crossing the trench. At the same time it is essential that no vibrations are transmitted to the soil outside the trench because of housing close by and roads and rails often running alongside the trench. Large-area support systems are out of the question - in spite of their other advantages - for use in trench sections crossed by numerous supply lines, if only for functional reasons. The new inner-city linear shoring piling frame system can be combined with the components of the linear shoring system from Krings and offers you totally new scope for cost estimation and efficiency. Module length Length slide rail Height of sheet pile element Length of sheet piles (KD VI/8) 2,77 m - 4,27 m 4,00 m 1,00 m variable
