Conditions of Entry 1. This Show is a qualifier for the Ponies (UK) 2015 Summer Championship Show, to be held on the 24 th 26 th July 2015 at Bury Farm EC, Slapton, Buckinghamshire, LU7 9BT & P(UK) 2016 Winter Classic to be held at Bury Farm EC. 2. Qualification for Summer Supreme Championships. Qualification cards will be presented in the ring, a Gold Ticket will be awarded to the champion in each affiliated section and placings will be confirmed by results sent in by the Show Secretary. 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd placed horses/ponies in EACH qualifying class will qualify for the P(uk) Supreme Championships 2015 and the P(uk) Winter Classic 2016. Competitors in qualifying positions, who are NOT current members of P(uk) must become members before time of entry. 3. Qualifying classes for P(uk) Summer Supreme Championships and P(uk) Winter Classics 2016 are: 2-13,15-18,20-23,25-32,35-48,50,52-54,57,59-69,71-74. 4. Stallions not exceeding 138cms or Small breed M&M stallions may not be ridden/led by juniors who have not attained their 12 th birthday before 1 st January of the current year. Stallions exceeding 138cms or large breed M&M stallions may not be ridden/led by any junior who has not attained their 14 th birthday before 1 st January in the current year. CHAPS(UK): This Show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse & Pony Society (uk).affiliation no: 15026.Both owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS(uk) nor must the horse or pony registered with CHAPS(UK)to complete. However in order to qualify both owner and rider/exhibitor need to be a current showing member and present their valid qualification card IN THE RING for signing by the Judge.Members to apply in writing to CHAPS(UK) for appropriate qualifier card. The CHAPS(UK) Championship Show will be held on7th -9 th August 2015. The following classes are CHAPS(UK) Qualifiers: 63-77. For full rulings and information on competition/qualification, please refer to the CHAPS(UK) Member s Handbook; or visit www.chapsuk.com. All stallions,4years and over, entering these classes must be graded with CHAPS(UK). Stallions must wear ID Discs in the Ring without exception. **The Ridden Champion and Reserve Champion will also qualify for The Janus Supreme Ridden Coloured Championship ** EQUIFEST QUALIFIERS: This Show is affiliated to Equifest to be held at East of England Showground, Peterborough on 12 th -16 th August 2015. To gain qualifiers please obtain a qualification card from Equifest to have the judge sign it in the ring. The highest 2(two) exhibits not already qualified in each affiliated class will qualify. The following classes are Equifest qualifiers: 2-8,10,15-17,20-22,25-32,36,38,42-44,46-48,52-54,56,59-69,71-74. NPS Mountain & Moorland Qualifying Rounds: These classes will be judged under the rules of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part breds are not eligible. Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and nonmembers but ONLY ponies owned by adult NPS Qualifying or Life members are eligible to qualify for the final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championship Show at Malvern from 5th-7th August 2015. The highest placed pony, if owned by NPS members, in each class will qualify for the Final. Qualification can pass down to 3rd place if the first and second ponies are already qualified. The following classes are NPS, Malvern qualifiers: 10,11,14-22,24-44,56-59. In Hand Home Produced Definition: These classes are open to pure bred ponies registered M&M ponies which are either stabled at home or in a DIY yard and which since 1 st Jan in the current year have not been shown by a producer or stabled in a producer s yard other than on a DIY basis or at stud. Ponies shown in these classes must be produced and shown by the owner/spouse, or his/her immediate family, who does not derive an income from working with ponies or horses. Please enter this class in the spirit it is intended. Competitors who contravene the above will be disqualified. M&M Home Produced Ridden Championship- Riders of Home Produced ponies(see definition in the NPS Rules Book) can wear a white armband in classes where this is indicated. These ponies, if owned by NPS members, are then eligible to qualify for the final at the NPS Summer Championship Show. NPS Silver Medal Rosette Championship: These classes are judged under the rules of the NPS. NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the owner of the champion pony is a Qualifying or Life member of the NPS. The Owner s valid membership card must be in the rider s/handler s possession on entering the ring and be produced immediately on request by either the judge or the steward. If the owner of the Champion pony is not a member, or the owner s membership card is not immediately produced, the Rosette will be awarded to the Reserve Champion provided they have the required membership card. If the Champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the qualification card goes to the Reserve pony provided the owner of that pony is a member of the NPS. The Silver Medal Rosette and the qualification card can be awarded no lower than First Reserve (third). Foals are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships. NPS/Kilmannan Stud M&M In hand silver medal championship: A silver medal rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony owned by an NPS Qualifying or Life member in the M&M In Hand section. The Sponsor s Rosette is also awarded to the pony receiving the Qualification. Qualifiers (in Scotland) are entitled to compete in either the

NPS/Kilmannan Stud M&M In-Hand Silver Medal Rosette Championship to be held at the NPS Summer Championship in Malvern, or at the Championship Show in Scotland. Qualifiers may only compete in ONE Kilmannan final. NPS /The Minns M&M Ridden Silver Medal Rosette Championship: A Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony owned by an NPS Qualifying or Life member in the M&M ridden section. Qualifiers (in Scotland) are entitled to compete in either the NPS/The Minns M&M Ridden Silver Medal Rosette Championship to be held at the NPS Summer Championship in Malvern, or at the Championship Show in Scotland. Qualifiers may only compete in ONE Minns final. NPS Show Pony and Show Hunter Pony Qualifying Rounds: These classes are judges under the rules of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the NPS British Riding Pony Stud Book, Register, Appendix, International or Sports Pony Section of the BRPSB, the GSB, the AHSB, the AASB or in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part-breds are not eligible unless entered in the NPS British Riding Pony Stud Book, Register, Appendix, International or Sports Pony section of the BRPSB. Ponies must be plaited. Classes are open to stallions, mares and geldings 4 years and over. NPS SCOTLAND QUALIFIERS: 1. Ponies may only qualify once for each NPS Scotland Competition Final. 2. All Mountain & Moorland Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective stud book. Part breds and X registered ponies and Eriskays are not eligible. 3. Qualification in the M. & M In Hand Section may go to 3 rd in the Championship. All others may go to no lower than 6 th place 4. A Judge is not obliged to award an NPS Scotland Finals qualification if he/she feels that the pony is not of a sufficient standard. 5. Closing Date for Entries: Competitors qualifying at shows held before Monday 8 th June 2015 must send their qualifying cards and entries in by Friday 26 th June 2015. Shows after 8 th June 2015 adhere to the closing date of 26 th August 2015 and strictly NO late entries will be accepted. 6. For Novice classes : 39-41: Open to pure bred registered M&M stallions, mares and geldings 4 yrs old and over. Ponies must wear a snaffle bit. A pony is not eligible to compete if, before 1 st January in the current year, it has done any of the following: 1. Won an open NPS affiliated mixed M&M ridden class 2. Won a direct qualifying round for HOYS,RIHS or OLYMPIA 3. If a pony qualifies for any of the above in the current year it is immediately de noviced and cannot enter the Final either at the NPS Summer Championship or the NPS Scotland/Kilmannan Novice Final at NPS Scotland Championship Final (Blair) 4. Qualified for Horse of the Year Show or RIHS Ridden class 5. Qualified for the M&M Novice or Intermediate Ridden Final at NPS Summer Championship Show or the NPS Scotland/Kilmanan Final at the NPS Championship Final (Blair) NB: Ponies can compete as novices in this competition for two consecutive years provided they do not submit an entry to the final in the first year. 6. Qualified for the M&M ridden Championship final at Olympia in previous years 7. Entry for the Finals can only be made by sending the official card duly signed by the Judge at the time of qualifying with your entry form. The Owner must be or become a member of NPS Scotland before entering the Finals. 8. All ridden ponies must be shown off the lead rein except in the specified Lead Rein Qualifier Class 9. M&M Lead rein ponies, mares or geldings 4years and over, not exceeding 122cms. Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest, Welsh A&B. Riders not to reach their 9 th birthday by the 1 st January in the current year. 10. M&M First Ridden ponies, mares or geldings 4 years and over, not exceeding 128cms. Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest, Welsh A&B. Riders not to reach their 12 th birthday by the 1 st January in the current year. 11. Max. Height for HP is 153cms at maturity and max height for RP is 148cms at maturity foal classes excluded 12. The Final will take place at the Blair Castle International Horse Trials on Friday 11 th September 2015. Blair Castle Working Hunter Pony Championship: Classes 52-54 are qualifiers. Ponies placed first to third in each class will qualify for the Championship held at Blair Castle International Horse Trials and Country Fair on Thursday 10 th September 2015. Qualification may go down to sixth place if higher ponies have previously qualified. To be eligible for the Final either the Rider or the owner MUST be a member of the British Horse Society. FINALS ONLY: This competition is run under Sports Horse Breeding of Great Britain (SHP(GB) the governing body of all hunter and sports horses classes). It is the responsibility of organisers and Competitors to be familiar with these rules; they can be found at http://www.sporthorsegb.co.uk Please be aware of Rule number 48H which states: All ridden hunters must be shod all round. No pads or surgical shoes are allowed. TSR Riders & IN HAND Championships The following classes : 2-8,15-18,20-23,25-28,36,38,42-44,52-54,56,59-62,70-74 are qualifiers for the 2015 TSR Riders/In Hand Scottish Regional Championships to be held 3 rd & 4 th Oct at Grand Slam Show, Ingliston EC, Bishopton. TSR RIDERS CHAMPS: 1 st & 2 nd riders qualify and will receive a Qualification card in the ring. TSR IN HAND CHAMPS: The 2 highest placed Handlers with a TSR In Hand Card will qualify in any In Hand class. Handlers MUST have their cards signed in the ring by the judge, cards are available from the TSR Web site. Full details at www.theshowingregister.co.uk TSR SASH SHOW- The highest placed current TSR Member in the following classes 2-8,14-17,19-22,24-27,33,37-41,43-45,49-51,54,56-59 will be awarded a TSR Members Sash. Class 4: P(uk) Lloyd Show Classic Intermediate SRT Championship Intermediate Show Riding Type, mare or gelding, 4 years and over, exceeding 146cms and not exceeding 158cms. Riders not to have attained their 25 th birthday before 1 st January in the current year. Class 5: P(uk) Ardenne Intermediate SHT Championship Intermediate show hunter type, mare or gelding, 4 years and over, exceeding 148cms and not exceeding 158cms. Riders not to have attained their 25 th birthday before 1 st January in the current year Class 6: P(uk) Whittakers Lord Open Hunter Championship Open hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years and over, exceeding 153cms. Rider any age. Class 7: P(uk) Kempley Ridden Cob Championship Open Ridden Cob, mare or gelding, 4 years and over, exceeding 148cms. Riders any age. Class 8: P(uk) Domino Part Bred Ridden Championship Open ridden part bred, Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over. Exceeding 148cms. Exhibits in this section must be registered in the approved Part Bred section of their Breed Society. Registration numbers must be stated on the entry form. Exhibits to be judged as a Riding Horse.
