We request that all exhibitors and members of the public comply with requests, written or verbal, from Show Officials which pertain to these regulations in their own best interests. Detailed guide lines can be seen in the Secretary s office on request. Any accidents should be reported to a show official immediately. Regulations regarding the riding of horses and ponies, motorized vehicles and bicycles will be strictly enforced in the interests of all concerned THIRD PARTY INSURANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED GENERAL RULES AND CONDITIONS: This show is affiliated to the National Pony Society and Equifest (All affiliated classes will be judged under the rules of these societies). The Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry. No Entry will be accepted without the appropriate fee. Nomination entries will not be accepted. Every effect has been made to avoid clashing of classes, but sometimes this is unavoidable. Under NO circumstances will classes be held up for any reason. Under NO circumstances will entry money be refunded, even with a vet s certificate. The decision of the Judge is absolute and final. No unauthorized person will be allowed in any ring. Hard Hats (according to the standard described by the society to which the class is affiliated) must be worn by all mounted riders AT ALL TIMES! These fitted with chin straps must be fastened. The Committee does not accept liability for any accident, damage, injury or illness to horses, ponies, riders, handlers, spectators or any other persons or property whatsoever. Anyone wishing to raise an objection must deposit 25 with the Secretary within one half hour of the end of the class in question. This deposit will be forfeited if the objection is overruled. All cups to be collected from the Secretary, signed for and deposits paid. No Whips to exceed 75cm. Broodmares must be 4 years old and over. Foals must be at least 4 weeks old on the day of the show. All stallions and colts, 2 years old and over, must hold a current Stallion Licence, unless governed by the individual Breed Society. Handlers of stallions and colts must have attained their 14 th birthdays. Riders of Small Breed Stallions must have attained their 12 th birthday and riders of Large Breed stallions must have attained their 14 th birthdays all before 1 st January in the current year.

NPS Winter Championship Qualifying Rounds This show is affiliated to the National Pony Society and the NPS affiliated classes will be run under NPS rules. Classes are open to Members and Non-Members of the NPS, but Non- Members will need to become members to enter the finals at the NPS Spring Festival 2016. The NPS General Rules for Showing apply (see NPS website for details). In each class the three highest placed ponies, not already qualified, within the first six places, will qualify. Winnings in the 2015/2016 Novice and Pure Novice Winter Championships will not debar ponies from the NPS 2016 Mountain and Moorland Novice Ridden competitions. Qualification cards will be awarded in the ring. NPS Young Rider Championships- Kindly Sponsored by the Underwood Final Over the winter season the following classes also carry qualification for the Young Rider Championships held at NPS Spring Festival M&M Open Ridden Winter Championship WMM-OR M&M Novice Ridden Winter Championship WMM-NR M&M Pure Novice Ridden Winter Championship WMM-PNR M&M First Ridden Winter Championship WMM-FR M&M Novice First Ridden Winter Championship WMM-NFR This Show is affiliated to Equifest, taking place at the East of England Showground on the 17th 21st August 2016. The two highest exhibits not already qualified in each affiliated class will qualify. Stallion, mare, colt, filly or gelding, any age. Class 4: LIZ CROSS SHOW TEAM / EQUIFEST MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND IN HAND Open to In Hand Mountain & Moorland ponies registered with their respective Pure Bred Societies of Connemara, Dales, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Welsh C and D. Stallion, mare, colt, filly or gelding, any age. Class 5: BSPA / EQUIFEST IN HAND PIEBALD / SKEWBALD Open in Hand Piebald / Skewbald stallion, mare, colt, filly or gelding, any age. The first three places will also qualify for the BSPA Championships. Subject to their show rules & conditions Class 6: Junior Handler (unaffiliated) To be judged on the handler s presentation and showing technique. Mare and geldings only, strictly no colts or stallions. To be led by a handler who has attained their 7 th birthday but not their 13 th Birthday before 1 st January in the current year. IN HAND CHAMPIONSHIP: 1 ST and 2 nd from classes 1 6 are eligible.

Class 10: WELLBURY PARK STUD & RIDGEWAY VET PHYSIO / EQUIFEST SHOW PONY FIRST RIDDEN First Ridden Pony, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 128cm. Riders not to have attained their 10th birthday before 1st January in the current year. To be shown in any suitable bridle. Class 11: BSPA / EQUIFEST RIDDEN PIEBALD / SKEWBALD Open ridden Piebald / Skewbald stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old & over. Riders any age. Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest and Welsh Section A & B. Not exceeding 122cms. Pony not to have won a first prize in any Leading Rein class. To be shown in a snaffle bit, the leading rein must be attached to the noseband only. The reins must go directly from the bit to the rider s hands. (Riders must not have attained their 9th birthday by 1st January in the current year). Class 16: NPS/Area 25 M&M NOVICE FIRST RIDDEN WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP This Competition is open to mares and geldings four years old or over, registered in the main body of their respective Mountain and Moorland Stud Book. Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest and Welsh Section A & B. Not exceeding 128cms. Pony not to have won a first prize in any First Ridden class. Ponies must not be cantered except in their individual show. (Riders must not have attained their 12th birthday by 1st January in the current year). NPS / HIRSTMUND STUD M&M PURE NOVICE RIDDEN WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP This Competition is open to stallions, mares and geldings four years old or over which must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Book. Pony not to have been placed first in any Ridden Mountain & Moorland Class (excluding Lead Rein or First Ridden). All ponies in this class must be shown in a snaffle bit. Rider any age (except stallions see NPS Rules). Class 17: Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh A & B Class 18: Connemara, Dales, Fell, Highland, New Forest & Welsh C & D NPS/ HANOVER DAIRIES LTD M&M NOVICE RIDDEN WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP This Competition is open to stallions, mares and geldings four years old or over which must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Book. Class 25: JOHN PATON / JUNIOR RIDDEN MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND Mares and geldings, 4 years old & over, registered in the respective pure bred Stud Books of Connemara, Dales, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Shetland and Welsh Section A,B,C & D. Riders of Small Breeds not to have attained their 14th birthday before 1st January in the current year. Riders of Large Breeds not to have attained their 18 th birthday before 1st January in the current year. Ridden CHAMPIONSHIP: 1 ST and 2 nd from classes 7-25 are eligible.
