USTA Player Development 2017 Excellence Grant Criteria Jr Girls, Collegiate & Professional Players In order to encourage the development of U.S. players we have designed USTA Player Development Excellence Grant criteria to award players for meeting criteria to development into a top 100 professional player. Any U.S. player achieving the requirements listed below (based on a player s birthdate) will receive a grant. Players that meet one (1) of the criteria boxes below will receive $2000, once the player has met two (2) boxes the player will receive $3000 more and once a player meets three (3) boxes a player will receive $4000. Thus a player could earn $9000 during a year based on his/her performance. Players may meet boxes in two age categories below but for a maximum of 3 boxes or $9000 for a year. Player will need to submit this form each time he/she meets one of the requirements listed below. Collegiate Grants will be paid out three times per year after 6, 12, and 18 months. The players ranking on those ranking dates will determine the payout. Once a player meets the ranking criteria listed below at the six, twelve or eighteen month mark a player will receive a payout based on their performance. A player could earn up to $4,500 during a 6 month period. Return the attached form with your ranking information. Six (6) months after graduating/leaving college tennis Top 300 WTA Singles Ranking- First time reaching ranking ($1,000) Top 250 WTA Singles Ranking- First time reaching ranking ($1,500) Top 210 WTA Singles Ranking- First time reaching ranking ($2,000) Twelve (12) months after graduating/leaving college tennis Top 210 WTA Singles Ranking- First time reaching ranking ($1,000) Top 175 WTA Singles Ranking- First time reaching ranking ($1,500) Top 150 WTA Singles Ranking- First time reaching ranking ($2,000) Eighteen (18) months after graduating/leaving college tennis Top 175 WTA Singles Ranking- First time reaching ranking ($1,000) Top 150 WTA Singles Ranking- First time reaching ranking ($1,500) Top 110 WTA Singles Ranking- First time reaching ranking ($2,000) Note: All players must be US citizens and eligible to represent the United States in International Team Competitions. Player must submit a W-9 and other supporting documentation to Karina Klein via email (kklein@usta.com ) or fax (407-641-8976). Once we receive the request we will send a grant letter that will need to be signed and returned. All grant requests must be submitted by December 19, 2017 for the 2017 year. *Only ITF Junior Circuit events listed on the attached calendar may be used for the Excellence Grant Criteria where applicable*
