Game Day Manage Your Sideline Cleared coaches are the only adults allowed to remain on the team sideline. Player safety is our first priority. Failure to comply with this rule is a potentially serious offense that will be escalated to the club President for review. Jewelry Is Prohibited Yes, this also includes earrings. Even if they don t come out. Even if ears are newly pierced. No, they cannot just be taped. This also includes hard hair clips. Please do not put players at risk by overlooking this FIFA rule. Medic Alert items are the only exception and should be taped down for safety.
Game Day
U6 - U8 NEW BALL NO KICK OFFS! NO KICK-INS! NO GOAL KICKS! NO CORNER KICKS! Substitution are made on the fly, no stoppage of play.
NEW BALL - Tips for success Both Coaches stand on same sideline with players (opposite parents). ONE coach holds one or two balls in their arms with other balls at feet and does the New Ball communication. Coach rolls the ball to neutral space to start each half. If the ball goes slightly out of play, but the player dribbles the ball back in, that s ok let them play on! The NEW BALL should be rolled to neutral space or toward the disadvantaged team. Coaches control the pace of the game.
NEW BALL CONT. After a goal is scored, teams go back to their sides of the field and coach rolls new ball near the center of the field toward the team that was scored against. Do not bounce the NEWBALL as it is difficult for these players to judge a bouncing ball at this age. Favor the team on the wrong end of a one sided game. Favor individual players who are not becoming involved in the game.
THANK YOU! Thank you for coaching Have fun! If you are struggling with your team for any reason, please reach out to Rage Staff or the Rec Committee Members, we want to help U6 - PUGG sign out/coaching practice gear pick up. U7 - PUGG goals on their way! Coaches gear is on the way!
