So if making a doormat from your old MTB tyres, upholstering outdoor furniture with spent inner tubes, mounting bar antlers, bike stands, fixing ornate cog and chain owls on timber or crafting bespoke up-cycled jewellery sounds at all appealing, come check out their interactive workshop on the main street from 1-3pm on Saturday and give it a go. On ya' bike then! RECYCLE AND CREATE There'll be two Recycled Art Projects, one using bottle tops and the other using old bike tubes. Help by collecting all of your plastic bottle lids. You will have an opportunity to create a beautiful mural for the Melrose Primary School. Join in making an amazing sculpture from tubes collected by Over the Edge bike shop. The Fat Tyre Festival is about sharing great experiences on and off the trail with like-minded people. Please try to prevent any hazardous situations with a little foresight on the trails you re using. In general, strive to make each pass a safe and courteous one. This is a great spectators sport. Chat to the organisers as to where the best spots are to cheer the riders along! Trails NOT in RED can be ridden on the whole weekend.
