Anatomy of a Trophy Pre Hunt / Fish Consultation Habitat / Custom woodworking Delivery / Shipping / Set up Contact us prior to your next hunting or fishing trip. Whether it s within the U.S. or out of the country, we can help make sure your trophies arrive back safely. We offer specific field care advice to help insure the proper care and handling of your trophies. Specific field measurements and photographs of the animal or fish and the habitat will help us provide you with accurate, lifelike taxidermy. You can have natural habitat added to your trophy. The elements of habitat can include plants, water, rocks, forest floor, snow, trees, small mammals or other species, etc. Custom woodworking is available for furniture style pieces and pedestal mounts. We also have custom glass cases for displays in coffee tables and protective cases. Once your piece has been completed we contact you. If you are picking up, we help you load and secure the mount in your vehicle for a safe ride home. For larger pieces we can deliver to your location. We can also install the mounts in your home so that everything is secure and fits where you need it. This is usually done on larger mounts and/or scenes where it takes several people for heavy lifting and arranging. Receiving / Drop off / Pick up Zebra Contact us to set up an appointment prior to dropping off or shipping your trophy. Arrangements can be made to pick up your animal on site for delivery to our studio. Tanning We use a private tannery that has met and exceeded our expectations. Skins are shaved thin allowing us to obtain the animal s true size. The quality of tan and thinness of the skin also plays an important part in the longevity of the mount, such as no cracking or pulling away of the facial features over time. Finish work After the mount has dried, we restore the natural coloration in certain areas by hand and/or airbrush. We select the right combination of colors to create depth and breathe life into your mount. Using pictures of your animal and ones in our own collection of live animal photographs, we are able to achieve a realistic lifelike appearance. Lioness with Warthog Pose / Design / Taxidermy We discuss with you how you want your animal displayed in your home and what poses may be best suited to show off your animal s distinct features. Reference material such as photographs, video, books and models helps us to sculpt correct anatomy and details into the form without guess work. We pay attention to detail and give expression and attitude to your piece. Bufflehead Pair
