DECEMBER 2017 Season s Greetings From Your Oakwood Staff, This is the time of year that we reflect on the past year and the friends, events, and memorable occurrences that have shaped 2017. On behalf of the Oakwood Staff, I would like to personally thank all of our members for their support of the club and wish all of you a very Merry Christmas, Holiday Season, and a Happy New Year. This month we will deck the halls and provide a festive atmosphere for your families and friends to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year. There are several events for you to enjoy and we hope that the time spent at your home away from home will help warm the chilly temps of December. My Administrative Assistant, Toni, has taken a new position and will be missed. Over the past few years she was a major contributor to the growth of Oakwood s media communication. We wish her success in her new endeavor and thank her for her dedication to Oakwood. This year, the 50th Anniversary year of Oakwood Country, the Board of Directors worked hard to provide several entertaining events to help celebrate culminating with the Summer Festival and Fireworks. The Member Appreciation Dinners helped bring the membership together to reminisce on the past and remember why they belong to the best in the Quad Cities! Job Well Done! From The Ladies Organization Wow another year is almost in the books, where did the year go? The Ladies fashion show and luncheon was a big success thanks to Pam Henning and her committee, we were able to donate over $800 to the River bend food pantry back pack program. Thanks to all who participated. The golf season is winding down however the ladies will still get together on Thursday mornings to play euchre and bridge and have lunch.
