A. Effectivity SERVICE BULLETIN Planning Information This service bulletin applies to aircraft equipped with AmSafe Seatbelt Airbag Systems with inflator assemblies with the following AmSafe part number. 507592-401 508792-401 510385-401 508794-401 508793-401 508795-401 B. Classification Operator s Discretion C. Compliance This service bulletin should be accomplished at the earliest opportunity when manpower and facilities are available. D. Reason This service bulletin extends the service and storage life of inflator assemblies from 10 years to 12 years. This service bulletin replaces service letter SL 25-031, revision A, dated 1 August 2008. E. Description SL25-031 extended AmSafe s recommended service and storage life of the inflator assemblies listed in section A was extended from 7 years to 10 years. This service bulletin extends the service and storage life from 10 years to 12 years based on substantiating data allowing a maximum combined service/storage life of 12 years from the date of manufacture with no required refurbishment. F. Approval This Service Bulletin contains no modification information that revises the approved configuration and therefore does not require FAA or other regulatory agency approval. G. Manpower Access time to the inflator assembly to support verification of the date of manufacture required by this service bulletin varies and is subject to individual seat design complexity. Once access is gained, determining the service/storage life of the inflator assembly and updating maintenance records can be accomplished in less than 5 minutes. H. Warranty The actions of this service bulletin are not covered under warranty. Page: 4 of 9

Use existing documents (e.g., service documents or maintenance records) to determine the date of manufacture (DOM) on the inflator assembly. If existing documents do not contain the DOM, proceed as follows. 3. Access the inflator assembly and use a mirror to read the AmSafe P/N. If it is not possible to use a mirror to read the AmSafe P/N, follow the instructions in the ICA to access the inflator assemby and read the AmSafe P/N. Note: No changes are to be made to the label on the inflator assembly to denote the service/storage life extension. Page: 6 of 9

4. There are two types of labels on inflator assemblies. a. Labels with DATE OF MFR: (Figure 1): Add 12 years to the month and year and obtain the service/storage life of the inflator assembly. Figure 1. Example DATE OF MFG Label Page: 7 of 9
