Homecoming 2016 Any Brother Martin Senior may nominate a girl from a local Catholic (all girls) high school for the Homecoming Court. The entire student body will vote for the Court. The Court will consist of the six girls with the highest number of votes. The Queen will be the girl receiving the most votes out of the six selected. If you wish to nominate a girl for the 2016 Homecoming Court, follow the calendar and the instructions below. Girls who were elected to a previous Court may not be nominated. Failure to have a picture taken on the specified day at Brother Martin automatically forfeits a girl s right to run for the Court. Tuesday, August 30 - Deadline for turning in the following: (a) Nomination form (attached) (b) Permission letter (attached) (c) Nominee profile (attached) Thursday, September 1 - Pictures will be taken of all girls nominated: 4:00 P.M. in the Auditorium. Wear school uniform including sweater or jacket. Pictures will not be returned. Pictures must not be altered in any way; asking the studio to do this automatically forfeits a girl s right to run for the Court. Thursday, September 15 - Nominees pictures and profiles will be posted after school. Friday, September 16 - Student body votes for Queen and Court. Winners will be contact by phone after 4:00 pm. Monday, September 19 The Court will be announced to the school. Wednesday, September 21 - The Court will meet at 4:00 P.M. in the Auditorium for a brief meeting. Friday, October 21 The Court will be presented to the student body at the pep rally in the Conlin Gym. You will receive more info at the Sept. 21 st meeting. Friday, October 21 - The Court will be presented in activities before the game and during half time at the Brother Martin v. Rummel football game at Tad Gormley Stadium. The Queen will be announced at half time. Game starts at 7:00 P.M. Court must be present at 6:15 P.M. Saturday, October 22 - The Queen and Court will be presented at 9:30 P.M. at the Homecoming Dance. The dance will be held at the Mercedes Superdome from 8:00 P.M. until 12:00 A.M. The Court must arrive by 8:15 P.M. for pictures. Once the six girls are elected, each girl is expected to participate in all of the activities listed above, or forfeit her opportunity to participate in Brother Martin s Homecoming Activities.
