General Information Venue: Beach Center, Göteborg Competition days: October 30 th November 1 st Official day of arrival: October 30 th Official day of departure: November 1 st Entry Deadline: October 16 th Technical Meeting: October 30th at 08.00 at the Center Court at the venue, Beach Center. The technical meeting is mandatory for all participating teams. How to get to the Venue: Address: Krutvägen 6, 415 28 Göteborg By flight: Airport Landvetter. For easy transportation, http://flygbussarna.se/en Airport to Göteborg. By bus/tram: From Göteborg Central Station, tram 7 or 11 (Kviberg) or by bus 58 (Brovägen) 3. Technical Meeting October 30th at 08.00 at the Center Court at the venue, Beach Center. The technical meeting is mandatory for all participating teams. If a team does not show up in the technical meeting, the open spot will be granted to one of the two highest ranked teams from the waiting list that have signed in before the technical meeting (teams can sign in between 07.30-07.50). The decision between them will be made by drawing of lots. If there are two
open spots, rank 1 will draw with rank two for the first spot, and then the loser will draw with rank three for the next spot. Don t forget to bring a receipt (in printed form) to the sign in before the technical meeting, as proof of payment of entry fee. 4. Withdrawal of Team Withdrawal of team must be done directly to the Technical Supervisor Nejc Zemljak, huvudtranare@gbcbeach.com. 5. Reserve List Teams withdrawn before Friday 30 th of October will be replaced by the next team on the reserve list. If a team does not show up at the technical meeting, the open spot will be granted to one of the two highest ranked team from the waiting list that have signed in before the technical meeting. 6. Player's uniform Each participating team must have similar uniforms with clearly visible numbers in accordance with the CEV regulations (approx. 2,5 x 5,5 cm for women sport tops and 8 x 10 cm for other sport uniforms). 7. Competition Venue The Venue that will stage all the competition is Beach Center. Address: Krutvägen 6, 415 28 Göteborg Number of courts: 3 competition courts plus 1-2 warm-up courts, total 4-5 courts. 8. Financial Matters Each participating team will cover their own travel cost from the port of entry to the venue and the return journey. Price Money: 1000 EUR for men / 1000 EUR for women. 1st place: 500 EUR 2nd place: 300 EUR 3rd place: 200 EUR The fee per team is 100 EUR to be paid to the organizer. All teams must bring a printed receipt to the technical meeting as proof of payment. Payment should be made by October 26 rd to the Swedish Volleyball Federation. In case of a delay of payment the team can lose its right to participate in the competition. 9. Competition Schedule The competition format is double elimination and the maximum number of teams is 16 (main draw, no qualification). Please note that the preliminary schedule for Sunday 1 st of November has been adjusted so that all the games will start one hour earlier. Friday: October 30 th 07.30-07.50 Preliminary Inquiry 08.00 Mandatory Technical Meeting at Beach Center 10.00 Matches start (match 1-16) Saturday: October 31 st 09.00 Matches start (match 17-26) Sunday: November 1 st 09.00 Matches start (semifinals, third place-matches) 15.00 Women's final (approximately) 16.00 Men's final (approximately) After the men's final a price ceremony for both genders will take place. It is mandatory for the top three teams to attend the award ceremony at the end of the competition/finals. The match schedule will be released after the end of the Technical Meeting. 10. The new team S. Rådström/Börresen (SWE) was entered into the draw based on new team entry points. Reserve List The women reserve teams with zero points was arranged according to drawing of lots carried out on the 26 of October in the below order and team no. 1 moved into the draw: 1. Halloween Cup & Halloween Party Nevza Beach is played side by side with Halloween Cup, which is a tournament on a national level below Nevza Beach. This will bring for example more audience for the matches. On Saturday Evening we will host a party for all participants of the tournaments. Costume preferred, since it's a Halloween Party, but of course you can come as you are. There will be a DJ, dancing and prizes for best costume. There are of course food and drinks available for purchase for those who want to. 14. Restaurant and hotel In the venue Beach Center there's a restaurant, Beach Cuisine. During Nevza Beach there will be a special players menu. There is a hotel just next to Beach Center, Kviberg Park Hotel & Conference, which we recommend.
