30th Championships at Jogjakarta, Indonesia 16-19 Sept 2013 The 30th Asean Senior Amateur Golf Championships was held in Jogjakarta, the home town of President Yuwono. 268 senior golfers were spoilt with the special arrangement to play at Merapi Golf Club Jogjakarta and Borobudur International Golf Club Magelang, and being entertained with elaborate opening and closing ceremonies. After the three days tournament, all participants were treated to a full day of social, cultural and tourist programme with a visit to the Palace of the Sultan of Solo, military performance cum lunch at Military Academy, guided tour to the world Heritage site Borobudur, and then treated to an Indonesian cultural performance after a sumptuous Indonesian buffet dinner. For the tournament, the Team Gross was won by Singapore with Team Net taken by Thailand. 29th Championships at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 25-27 September 2012 The competition proper comprised four events: gross, nett, team gross and team nett events played over three days at the two courses. While rain disrupted some play at The Mines all competitions were completed smoothly on two courses that were extremely well prepared by the clubs. Malaysia took three of the four major titles in the Championship with Hamdan Zambahari emerging the run away gross winner (Sallahuddin Challenge Trophy), Hamizan Mohd Derus becoming the best nett golfer (Modonedo Trophy) and with the Society s Team winning the gross team trophy (Henry H S Lee Trophy) A gala dinner was held at the Concorde Hotel after the competition were concluded, where the main prizes for the winners of the competitions were presented by the guest of honor, the Director General of the Ministry of Tourism, Dato Mirza Mohammad Taiyab. The flag of CASGA was handed over by Malaysia to Indonesia, the host for the 30th Asean Championship to be held the following year at Yogjakarta. The 29th Senior Amateur Golf Championships 2012 was held from 25 to 27 September, 2012 at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club (KLGCC) and The Mines Resort and Golf Club (MRGC). The Opening Ceremony was held at KLGCC. The competition was opened by the Honorable Minister of Youth and Sports at KLGCC where the flags of the participating countries and that of the Confederation of Asean Senior Golf Societies were raised. 28th Championships at Angeles City, Philippines 4-6 July 2011 Prize winners The Federation of Philippines Amateur Senior Golfers Inc hosted the 28th Asean Senior Amateur Golf Championship at Angeles City from 4 to 6 July 2011. 256 senior golfers from 6 countries competed at Mimosa Golf & Country club and Fontana Golf & Country Club. 27th Championships at Brunei Darussalam 26-28th October, 2010 The 27th ASEAN Senior Amateur Golf Championships 2010 under the auspices of The Confederation of ASEAN Senior Golfers Associations was held in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam from the 26th to 28th October 2010. The venue of the championships was at the Empire Hotel & Country Club (EHCC) and Royal Brunei Golf & Country Club (RBGCC), Jerudong. 26th Championships at Hua Hin, Thailand 27-29 July 2009 The Championships held at the two beautiful and challenging golf courses called the Imperial Lake View Hotel & Golf Club and Springfield Royal Country Club. The winners of the main events were : Best Gross Individual : Mr Date Jejada (Philippines) Best Net Individual : Mr Art Ampaya (Philippines) Team Gross : Philippines Team Net : Philippines Toh Shung Chee Trophy for Stableford Score : Mr. Liow Chee Hao (Brunei). The 26th ASEAN Senior Amateur Golf Championships hosted by Thailand on 27-29 July 2009 at the famous seaside resort of Hua Hin, about 3 hour-drive from Bangkok. The Opening and Closing Ceremony including the Prize Presentation ceremony were organized at Dusit Thani Hotel, Cha - Am, where more than 300 senior golfers from Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and distinguish guests attended. 25th Championships at Singapore 28-30 July 2008 The last time Singapore hosted the tournament was in 2008 with 261 participants. The 25th Asean Senior Amateur Golf Championships was held at SICC New and Island courses from 28th to 30th July 2008 with Minister in the Prime Minister Office, Minister Lim Boon Heng as the Guest-of-Honour. The Closing Ceremony and Prize Presentation Dinner was held at Riverview Hotel. The night was filled with Asean spirit and delegates singing the popular Thai Loy Kratong song and dance. The GOH also joined on the stage for the festive mood. Singapore won the Team Gross Trophy and the individual Best Gross by Singapore s Douglas Ooi. Team Net went to Brunei and Individual Best Net to Mohd Azman of Malaysia followed by Individual Best Stableford score by Pansak Panick of Thailand.
