Last Meeting: at St. Olaf 72, Carleton 51 on Jan. 22, 2011 Last time at West: at Carleton 70, St. Olaf 65 on Dec. 9, 2009 >>Weaver Farewell Today marks the final game in the maize and blue for senior Ally Weaver. A 2010 All-MIAC selection, Weaver enters today s game sitting at 1,088 points, good for eighth on Carleton s all-time list. She is Carleton s all-time leader in three-pointers made at 174, and is also tops in career free-throw percentage at better than 81 percent. >>Ramey Sets Rookie Assist Mark With a career-high 11 assists in Wednesday s win over Macalester, Jenny Ramey broke Carleton s record for assists by a first-year player. She surpassed Anna Bandick s mark of 100 set during the 1986-87 season, and has 107 assists entering today s game. Her season total is fifth best in school history, while her 11 dimes on Wednesday tied for the fourth-best single game mark in the Carleton record book and tied for the most in a game by a Carleton firstyear player. >>Knights Upend Scots Ally Weaver poured in 20 points, Akemi Arzouman netted 18, and Jenny Ramey dished out a career-high 11 assists as Carleton played spoilers on Wednesday night, holding off playoff-hopeful Macalester, 66-65, at West Gym. The Knights led the Scots for nearly the entire contest, but Macalester gave Carleton a scare late, sinking a trio of three-pointers in the final 1:05, but Weaver sunk a pair of clutch free throws with 20 seconds remaining to seal the win and snap Carleton s five-game skid. 2010-11 SCHEDULE November 24 at Occidental College L 41-56 26 at Pomona-Pitzer W 70-49 27 at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps L 60-61 December 1 at Hamline University* W 71-65 4 Augsburg College#* W 77-67 6 at Concordia College#* L 37-81 8 St. Catherine University* L 52-62 January 3 at #17 College of Saint Benedict* L 38-67 5 University of St. Thomas* L 39-68 8 Saint Mary's University#* L 45-61 12 at Bethel University* L 43-75 15 at Gustavus Adolphus College#* L 63-68 17 at Macalester College* L 46-61 19 Hamline University* W 71-63 22 at St. Olaf College#* L 52-71 26 Concordia College-Moorhead#* L 51-64 29 at Augsburg College#* L 60-73 31 at St. Catherine University* W 72-69 February 2 #25 College of Saint Benedict* L 48-64 5 Gustavus Adolphus College#* L 61-71 9 at University of St. Thomas* L 57-79 12 at Saint Mary's University#* L 60-72 14 Bethel University* L 60-74 16 Macalester College* W 66-65 19 St. Olaf College#* 1:00 p.m. *MIAC contest #WBB-MBB doubleheader PRONUNCIATION GUIDE 4 Holly Buttrey Buh-TREE 22 Akemi Arzouman AH-kemm-ee Ar-ZOO-man 30 Jenny Ramey Ray-mee 34 Jessa Youso YU-soh 40 Megan Bakken BAH-kenn 52 Emma Purfeerst PURR-first HC Cassie Kosiba Ko-SHEE-bah Roster Breakdown First-Years... 5 Sophomores... 5 Juniors... 1 Seniors... 1 California... 2 Iowa... 1 Minnesota... 5 New York... 1 Vermont... 1 Washington... 1 Wisconsin... 1 2010-11 MIAC STANDINGS thru Feb. 18 MIAC Overall St. Thomas * 17-4 18-6 Saint Benedict * 16-5 19-5 Concordia * 16-5 18-6 Gustavus * 14-7 15-9 Bethel * 12-9 14-10 Hamline 10-11 11-13 Macalester 10-11 10-14 St. Olaf 9-12 12-12 Saint Mary's 9-12 11-13 Carleton 5-16 6-18 Augsburg 4-17 5-19 St. Catherine 4-17 5-19 *- clinched MIAC Playoff spot Upcoming Games around the MIAC February 19 Saint Mary's at Gustavus St. Olaf at Carleton Macalester at Bethel Saint Benedict at St. Thomas Concordia at Hamline Augsburg at St. Catherine 3 p.m.

In fact, the two teams combined have three seniors and one junior. That youthfulness has shown through down the stretch for the Oles, who seemingly had a MIAC Playoff spot in their grasp, but they dropped five of their last eight games and were eliminated from the conference tournament chase after a 10-point loss at Bethel on Wednesday. That youth is talented, though, and the Oles are a program on the rise. Sophomore Mackenzie Wolter is the team s top scorer at 13.3 points per game, while rookie post Elise Raney is second on the team in scoring and tops in rebounding. Six players average six points per game or more for the Oles, who shot the three-pointer a lot (19.1 attempts per game), but aren t particularly effective at it, ranking eighth in the MIAC in three-point accuracy (28.8%). Where St. Olaf is effective is on the glass, ranking third in the MIAC in rebounding margin (+4.1), and in getting to the free throw line (416 FT attempted, third in MIAC). >>MIAC Ranks Akemi Arzouman ranks seventh in the MIAC in scoring with 14.3 points per game. She is also 18th in rebounding with 5.6 rebounds per game. Ally Weaver ranks 16th in scoring with 11.7 points per game. She also is ninth in free throw percentage (.802), ninth in three pointers made (36), and third in the conference in minutes played averaging 35.7 per game. Jenny Ramey is leading the conference in assists with 4.46 a game. Emma Purfeerst ranks 28th in scoring with 9.1 per game, third in rebounding with 7.8 per game, third in field goal percentage (.533), and 11th in free throw percentage (.792).
