5 th TRADITIONAL KARATE-DO EUROPEAN CHILDREN'S CUP 2017 I. GENERAL INFORMATION Title: 5 th Traditional Karate-Do European Children s Cup 2017 Sanctioned by: World Traditional Karate-Do Federation (WTKF) Hosted by: Traditional Karate Federation of Poland Tournament venue: GLOBUS sport hall 8 Kazimierza Wielskiego St. Lublin, Poland II. PARTICIPANTS 1. Participants are children who practice Karate-Do and respect the rules of competition (Cup) based on WTKF Competition Rules. 2. There are no limits of participating athletes / teams from one country / clubs. 3. In case of insufficient number of contestants for a particular category (minimum is 8 athletes in category), they will be incorporated in another group of similar age and grade. 4. All countries must bring their national flag. 5. National Federation must grant each registered participant or visitor his or her own insurance.
III. CATEGORIES Group A born in 2010 Group B born in 2009, Group C born in 2007, Group D born in 2005, and later 2008 2006 2004 Kata: performed in pairs; aka draws lots; flag system judging. Judge will announce KATA NAME up to lowest rank of athlete on tatami (kyu or DAN). EXAMPLE: 7th kyu athlete competes with 6th kyu athlete. In this case judge must to announce either Heian Shodan or Heian Nidan, not higher KATA. Group 3-1 kyu (C and D) in the semifinals and finals the point system evaluation. in 3 groups: and higher kyu in 5 groups: 4 kyu and higher kyu in 6 groups: 4 kyu in 6 groups: 4 kyu Elimination, semi-final, final: HEIAN. Judge will announce KATA NAME up to lowest rank (kyu) of athlete on tatami. Elimination for all groups: HEIAN. Judge will announce KATA NAME up to lowest rank (kyu) of athlete on tatami. Semi-final and final for all groups except 3 kyu - 1 kyu kata HEIAN. Semi-final and final for group 3 kyu-1 kyu: TOKUI kata (has to be other kata in the semifinals and finals). Athlete has to perform TOKUI KATA only from this list: Bassai Dai, Jion, Kanku Dai, Empi. TEAM CATEGORIES Group A and Group B TEAM CATEGORIES Group C and Group D in 2 groups: 9-6-1 kyu in 3 groups: 9-6-4 kyu
Kids' Team Kata Girls' Team Kata / Boys' Team Kata The team may be homogenous (girls or boys) or of mixed sex. Only one kata is required (Heian 1-5), in the final bunkai will be applied. IV. APPLICATIONS & REGISTRATION A. Registration Athletes and judges online registration at http://registration.wtkfkarate.org/ B. Participation Fee Athletes EUR 50 for athlete (only one fee, and athlete can participate in all competitions) Registration fees for all Athletes paid to the T.O.C. at the Tournament Office at latest one day before competition (until October 20, 2017 - Friday). Coaches One coach per 15 kids is free of charge. Extra coach for a team is 50 EURO. Photographer One photographer per national federation is free of charge. Extra photographer is 50 EURO. V. JUDGES All Judges must bring their own HAKAMA (black), whistle and clean KARATEGI including navy blue (recommended) or white KARATEGI top. VI. ACCOMMODATION and TRANSPORTATION The Tournament Organizing Committee will not provide shuttles and hotel accommodation. All national teams are responsible for their accommodation and transport from/to the airport or the sports hall. VII. VISA Please contact your local embassy for visa procedure.
