So much to do; Hose Coupling Competition, Legion Corn Roast & Beer Gardens, Tomato Toss, Family Games, Taste of Redcliff, Greenhouse Passport Contest, Pedal Tractors, Lions Club Family Dog Walk, Petting Zoo, Emergency Vehicle Display, Trade Show, Movie in the Park, and More! When: September 16 th Information: send us an email to cps@redcliff.ca or call 403-548-3232 HOSE COUPLING COMPETITION Redcliff s annual Hose Coupling Competition hosted by the Redcliff Volunteer Fire Department will be held on September 16th. Teams are made up of 4 to compete for the title of Redcliff Hose Coupling Champions. FAMILY & ADULTS MEALS ON WHEELS Hot and nutritionally well-balanced meals are available to eligible adults of any age on a long term or shortterm basis if they meet one or more of the following criteria: have difficulty preparing nutritious meals convalescing from a recent hospital stay chronic memory impairment recent bereavement or loss no available support system. Sample menu items include: Beef Lasagna, Meatloaf, Turkey and cheddar wrap, Breakfast, Chicken parmesan with rice pilaf, Crispy chicken burger with French fries, Penne and Sausage, Sausage and pierogis, Hot Beef Sandwich, and Grilled Chicken Stir Fry. Lunches are delivered by volunteers from Monday - Friday between 11:15 am and 11:45 am, except on holidays. (Meals for the weekend are delivered on Friday) This service is subsidized by the Town of Redcliff and is available to you at a cost of $5.50 per meal (*subject to change). Fees are paid at the Redcliff Town Office on a monthly basis. Call 403-5483232 for information or pick up an application. PAINTING WITH VAL Grab your friends and come on out for an evening of creativity. Paint along with the facilitator and create a masterpiece, no experience needed! Price includes all materials and 1 drink ticket. Join painting with Val on Facebook for updates and samples of the paintings that will be demonstrated. Where: The Legion, Redcliff When: Thursdays; September 28, October 26, and November 23 at 6:00-8:00pm Cost: $30 Register: Online at redcliff.ca, or call 403-548-3232 TAI CHI The fall session of both Beginner Tai Chi & Awareness Tai Chi Continuing Sessions begin September 5th. Registration for Beginner Tai Chi will be accepted until September 14th. Fee is $57.50 per month plus GST or pay for 3 months and get 1 free. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES There are many Volunteer opportunities for all ages in Redcliff! Please contact Community Services at 403-548-3232 for more information. Other Community Information REDCLIFF CURLING CLUB We are looking forward to seeing our longtime friends as well as some new faces. Our registration and AGM is Monday September 11 at the curling club beginning at 7:00 PM. If you are new to Town and looking to get onto a team this curling season, either give us a call or drop by the rink. We are encouraging you to come prepared to ask questions, attend our AGM, pay your team s membership and have contact info for you team members. We have much fun and many laughs at our little rink in the past. If you want to be part of it, get yourself curling and join our Club and you will see how quickly you become part of the Redcliff Curling Club Family!!! REDCLIFF MUSEUM The Redcliff Museum is now closed for summer. We will attempt to open several afternoons a week. However the hours might not be regular. So keep in mind that if the open sign in out then someone is in the building and feel free to come in. Everyone welcome. Weekly Bus Every Tuesday at 1:00 pm the bus takes seniors to the Medicine Hat Mall. We leave from the Legion but will drive passengers home after the trip. All senior s welcome.
