We utilize low istructor to participat ratios, ragig from 1 istructor to 4-6 participats, depedig o stage. Swim Lessos provide importat life skills that could save a life, ad will beefit you for a lifetime. All YMCA swim istructors are atioally certified ad are traied i CPR, AED, First Aid ad Oxyge Admiistratio. Woderig where to start? 3 PARENT/CHILD (stages A-B) is for youg participats who are't ready to be aloe i the pool without a paret. Idepedet participats who are developig their skills should start i SWIM BASICS (stages 1-3). Newly-added based o your feedback! Those swimmers age 4-12 who ca swim without floatatio 10-15 yards (half of the legth of the lap pool) o their frot ad back, with their face i the water, should start i BEGINNER SWIM STROKES (stage 4). ADVANCED SWIM STROKES (stages 5-6) is for participats who ca swim 25 yards (the legth of the lap pool). More iformatio o stage prerequisites ca be foud o the Lesso Selector, or by visitig ymcam.org/swimmig. GROUP LESSON RATES You do't eed to be a member of the Y to take swimmig lessos, but members receive a discout o lessos. MEMBER RATE Swim Lessos: $47 NON-MEMBER RATE Swim Lessos: $102 Group lessos meet oce a week for seve weeks. Lessos for Paret/Child ad Preschool classes are 30 miutes log, ad lessos for School Age ad Tee/Adult classes are 40 miutes log. Pricig ad class legth varies for Specialty, Adaptive ad Adult classes. YMCA Swim Teams are offered at 10 locatios i the Twi Cities metro area. Swim meets are scheduled agaist other teams i the Miesota State League, typically at other Y locatios o Saturdays.
