No paper copies will be distributed. Event App: Get the event App! Search in the App Store for Canoe Kayak Championships, or visit our website for real time results at canoewelland2017.com Live Stream: For the first time in the history of the Canadian Sprint Canoe Kayak Championships, all of the action will be broadcasted live online. Every race will be available at www.canoewelland2017.com. Additionally, portions will also be streamed live at http:// www.cbc.ca/sports. Therefore, if anyone is unable to travel to the Welland International Flatwater Centre to take in the racing, they won t miss a second. In order to pull off a project of this scope and size, we ll require some help from the Sprint Canoe Kayak community. Certain areas of the facility will be off limits during the championship, most notable are certain floors of the tower where our control room will be located and some of the structures along the banks of the course. These areas will be clearly marked with signs. Furthermore, to provide the best coverage to our viewers, we plan to conduct some live, oncamera interviews with athletes following races where trophies and medals are on the line. Please ensure that athletes know that they may be asked for an interview by a member of our broadcast team. These interviews are nothing to worry about as they won t be long; however, it is best if athletes have a bit of a heads-up beforehand so they know what s going on. From everyone working on the broadcast, we thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. We re thrilled to have the opportunity to cover such an exciting event and promise to present a broadcast of the highest quality. Best of luck to all!

Health and Safety: First aid is located beside boat control at the south end of the course. St. John Ambulance will be on site. Any athlete that requires puffers, EPI pens, allergy medication, or any device or product that is required for emergency purposes, needs to be placed in a ziplock bag with the athlete s name and race numbers attached. Everything should be delivered to the tower before each shift, and can be picked up at lunch, or at the end of the day at the base of the tower. This medication will be available in the big red rescue boat at the finish line, for athletes requiring anything at the end of the race. Local hospital is less than 4 minutes away from the race course for emergencies. Welland County General Hospital Section 2: Site Plan / Arrival Club Arrival: The site is open to all clubs Sunday, August 20th for set up, pass pickup, boat unloading, and on water practices after 9 am. Designated parking for trailers is located on Colborne st, on the west side. Volunteers will be on site to direct club trailers accordingly. Club trucks need to be unhitched from trailers through the duration of the national championships and parked in the main parking lot. Club sites will be clearly marked for site set up by club name. Site coordinators will be on hand to direct and assist clubs as required. Please fill out this form regarding your club arrival, as soon as possible. Each visiting club will be given one parking pass for their club truck that is towing their trailer.
