The arena is located just north of the Portage Lake Lift Bridge, and is approximately a 10 minute drive from Michigan Tech s campus Concrete Canoe oral presentations will be held in Michigan Tech s Mineral and Materials Engineering building, Room U-115. This is the same room that the technical presentation will be held in. Mailer III projected release will be early March. This will contain all final information pertaining to the Conference.

General Notes The technical paper competition and presentation and concrete canoe technical paper and presentation are two separate competitions. With regards to points and scoring, the two events are not at all related. Please note however, that NCCC has included some stipulations regarding the technical paper competition in the rules for concrete canoe this year. Teams wishing to advance to the national competition must participate in the technical paper competition. The 2013 Daniel W. Mead Contest is completely separate from the 2013 North Central Conference Technical Paper Competition. Michigan Tech has chosen to use the Mead Competition topic for the technical paper competition in hopes that people participating in the conference competition may also enter in the Daniel W. Mead Contest. Michigan Tech is not responsible for submitting technical paper competition entries into the Daniel W. Mead Contest. This responsibility lies solely on the author of the paper.
