Skaters must complete at the highest test level they have passed, on or before April 10, 2017 The competition will be conducted in accordance with the guidelines contained in the 2016 ISI Handbook, with current ISI Revisions. Each participating arena must provide at least ONE JUDGE FOR EVERY 10 EVENTS ENTERED. All judges must be current All coaches with competitors in our event must be current ISI Professional Members, and have passed the 2016 ISI Update Test to maintain their current certification level. Judges must have no less than a bronze judging certification to judge in an open competition. 10 points will be deducted from the overall team score if judges are absent from duty or teams do not supply judges. The replacement judge will receive 10 team points towards his/her team. All skaters are to check in at the registration desk at least 1 hour prior to their scheduled event. Please turn in your program CD at that time. If the competition is running ahead of schedule, an event may begin earlier than its scheduled time. CDs are to be clearly labeled with skater s name and level, and coaches should have a back-up available rink-side, in case of any problems with the original. Ice surface is 200 by 85 with rounded corners. ZuRoma s Italian Restaurant and Bar. Full-Service Concession Stand. Video and/or Photography services will be offered during the event. Discounted hotel rates will be provided. All skaters will receive an award. Awards will be presented upon the posting of each individual event. Individual awards may be picked up at the awards table immediately after the event results are posted. Only ISI Professional Members can make accounting review requests to the Competition Director. Judges scores are considered final. A review is simply a verification of these scores. There will be a $50.00 fee for all reviews. If an error is found, the fee will be refunded. A preliminary schedule of events and Judge s sign-up sheet will be emailed to each coach. No refunds will be granted after the close of entries.
COMPETITION EVENT REQUIREMENTS TOTS: Tots will use ISI testing requirements for programs. Any moves from lover test levels may be included. There is no grade for Extra Content or Duration in this level. In Tot events, the quantity of swizzles, wiggles or strokes is not to be penalized only the quality of those maneuvers is to be judged. Skaters should strive to meed the minimum quantity requirements. Two foot or one foot snowplow stops are permitted in these levels. Please see 2016 ISI Handbook page 268 & 269 for any questions. FREESTYLE 1-10: Skaters are limited to three attempts per required maneuver during their program, the best attempt will be judged. FREESTYLE 3-4: No back spirals will be allowed during warm-up. If partners are different levels, then they will compete in the level of the higher partner. Both skaters enter the ice together and got to their starting position. Skater #1 will begin and perform their chosen JUMP maneuver two times each, doing the SAME jump two times while skater #2 stands still. After Skater #1 is finished with both attempts and stops, Skater #2 begins and performs the chosen spin two times, while skater #1 stands still. After Skater #2 stops, then both skaters exit the ice together (additional maneuvers are NOT permitted).
