Teaching Style Koi Show August 6 th & 7 th Tri-County Fair Grounds Northampton MA Advance $45 show tank reservation & payment required Only 18 tanks available Contact; Craig Mariani 32 Bowles Ave. Ludlow MA. 01056 Tel (413) 8960391 craig@butterflykoi.com

SHOW INTENT This is a AKCA koi show providing both young and large Koi in a competitive environment for koi entrants and for education of the general public on quality koi. We encourage professional and amateur participation at the show, prizes are decorative, not monetary. This show will be English Style where each entrant has a separate tank for their Koi and water and tools are not transferred between tanks. If nets are used for more than 1 tank, the net is sterilized between uses. This style of show rules out any possibility of virus, parasite or bacteria transfer between Koi in different tanks. PRE-SHOW PREPARATIONS 1. Deadline for receipt of tank reservations: Monday August 1st, 6PM. The 18 tanks will be pre-assigned on a first reserved basis. Submit tank reservation and entry fee of $45 for each tank being reserved. Make checks payable to PVWG&KC and send them to Craig Mariani 32 Bowles Ave Ludlow MA 01056. 2. Feeding of koi to be entered into this show should be discontinued 5 days prior to the show to help maintain good water quality environment during the show. Only your Koi will be in your tank so those who do not follow this guidance will be obvious by the poor quality of the water. 3. Identification REQUIREMENT-Each Entrant must bring a photo of each of their Koi for use by the Show Committee during judging. Entrants are welcome to rec the photos of their Koi hung on their tanks at the end of the show. 4. Entrants are required to provide a net and blue tub for use at their tank during the show. Medium to dark blue tubs are preferred because they show the colors of the Koi better. The show committee will make every effort to not allow cross contamination of water between tanks during the show. ENTRY AND ENTRY FEE 1. This is an open Koi show for professional and amateur Koi hobbyists. Fish entered, must be owned by the registered entrant. 2. All entrants must pre-reserve their tank entry fee. Upon arrival, entrants shall submit a completed entry form to the entry desk prior to placing Koi into their tank. Make all checks payable to PVWG&KC. 3. Fish load per tank shall not exceed 100 points. To calculate fish load using your Entry Form, multiply the load factor for each size times the quantity of koi in that size and enter that number into the load by size box. Do this for each size and then add the Load in each Size boxes for all 6 sizes to obtain the total for the tank. Enter this number onto the Entry Form where it says Tank Fish Load. If your total exceeds 100, you will need to split your fish between two tanks. We will be more than happy to do this for you at the show. 4. ENTRY FEE: Each TANK ENTRY (includes 1-5 koi):... $45 (paid with reservation) ADDITIONAL CHARGE for each additional fish:... $5 (paid at show entry)

All necessary and reasonable precautions will be taken by the club to safeguard entered koi. Therefore, all participants in the show will agree to hold the club, its officers, directors, and members blameless against any loss or injury of the fish. Anyone wishing to inspect their fish must contact the Show Committee. 1. Starts promptly at 10:30, Saturday. JUDGING 2. Permanent scars or deformities will count against the fish, while those considered recent and not permanent in nature may be minor defects in judging. Defects count much more heavily against small Koi than they do for older and larger koi. 3. Decisions of the judge and/or the Show Committee are final. Any contingencies not ced by these rules will be subject to the decision of the Show Committee. 4. This is a teaching show.
