We ll use fluid acrylics, stamps/stencils and other mark-making tools on gelatin plates to create colorful unique monoprints on paper. We will talk about the importance of working from a good composition and the basics of working with pastels. We will work from a still life and at the end of class we will share our pieces with each other. All levels welcome. This series is appropriate for beginner and/or intermediate artists who are interested in learning about pastel supplies and techniques. Each week we will try a new technique: working with a limited palette; a plein air piece (working outside, weather permitting); and, a still life.
