The Abisko Mountain Lodge, our base for the Heliski, Freeride and Free Touring days in Sweden is 100 kilometres west of Kiruna. The Heliski area is located in the mountains between Abisko Riksgränsen and Kebnekaise - Sweden's highest mountain. The Freeride and Free Touring opportunities are around Björkliden, Riskgränsen and Navik. Which offer freeride terrain with views into the Norwegian fjords. In the Lyngen Alps, we are facing the sea in a classic Norwegian "cottage" located in Lenangsøyra. With our cars or the boat, we start to round-trips through the "Lyngen Alps" and the Troms region. Skiing fantastic runs in the Arctic powder or spring snow. Unforgettable views down towards the sea, steep runs and unique landscapes will await us. Snow information: Thanks to the location of Abisko and Lenangsøyra Lyngen approximately 300-350 km north of the Arctic Circle, in this time of year there is still winter and usually we have still good conditions. We will find north side often powder and on the south faces perfect spring snow. The advantage of traveling in April is also that the snow layers and the weather are more stable. Fascinating are also the very long days, making skiing possible almost around the clock. Group sizes: Max./Min. 10 participants/2 groups mountain guides, with a maximum of 5 participants per guide. We work with small groups, which provide you a maximum of flexibility and exclusivity. Abisko Mountain Lodge: The Abisko Mountain Lodge was built in 2007. The rooms are modern furnished and are all equipped with shower and toilet. The lodge also has a sauna, hot tube and a wireless LAN. The kitchen of the Abisko Mountain Lodge is known for the excellent food. The helicopter pick up is right to the lodge.
Lenangsøyra Lodge: We stay in the house Grindvoll in the beautiful Lenangsøyra about 70km from Tromsø ideally located in Lyngen. We will self catering us in our kitchen organized by our guides. Using our vans and on one day also the boat we start to round-trips through the "Lyngen Alps" and the Troms region. Itinerary: Firday: Getting to Kiruna overnight stay in Kiruna in the SPiS Hotel Saturday-Monday: Transfer to Abisko (approx. 1 hour), material check, safety briefing and presentation of the program for the next days. Skiing our guides will dicide together with you our program dependent on avalanches, snow and weather conditions. Every day there is the opportunity for Heliskiing, Freeride or Free Touring. Tuesday: Skiing until early afternoon. Our guides will dicide together with you the program dependent on avalanches, snow and weather conditions. Later in the afternoon transfer to Lenangsøyra (approx. 4 hours). Wednesday-Friday: Free Touring program around Lenangsøyra. Our guides will dicide together with you the program dependent on avalanches, snow and weather conditions. Saturday: Transfer to Tromsø and traveling back home. Additional helicopter hours in a group of 5 participants: Price per additional helicopter flight hour - EUR 450,00 per person per hour in a group of 5 participants. Refund helicopter hours in a group of 5 participants: In the case of wind, bad weather or avalanche risk we refund 380,00 per flight hour and person. No refund will done, in case of illness, accident, deficiency of physical shape lack of condition, bad skiing level, late arrival and breaks during the skiing days. Helicopter: Airbus-Helicopter Ecureuil B2, B3 or B4 Safety equipment: ABS backpack, avalanche transceiver, probe and shuffle (must be reserved lately 2 weeks before departure) Requirements: You will need to be a safe off-piste skier in all conditions, and fit enough to cope skiing off-piste 6,000 vertical meters a day. You need to be fit enough to skin and hike up to 5 hours aprox.1200 vertical meters a day. For group booking s, we can take care individual of the skiing and group level.
