Player Matchup Price Point Guard Stephen Curry at ATL $10,500 Curry is picking up more usage with Durant out, and this is a good matchup against an ATL team that ranks 23rd PGs. Having said that, the PG position is deep tonight, so Curry is not a 100% necessity. Damian Lillard at MIN $8,800 Lillard has a good matchup in a competitive, high-scoring game at MIN - who ranks 21st PGs. Kemba Walker IND $8,200 Kemba has been on fire as of late. He's playing at home, up in pace IND - trying to make four straight games of 43+ FP. Mike Conley BKN $7,800 There's some blowout risk here, but Conley has an excellent matchup playing up in pace against a BKN team that ranks bottom five PGs. Ricky Rubio POR $6,900 If you don't have enough salary for guys in the upper mid-range, Rubio is a fine pivot down with a real 40 FP upside. He's playing up in pace a POR team that ranks bottom five in team d-eff. Malcolm Brogdon at PHI $5,000 Brogdon is a decent filler in this spot, a good bet for 25+ FP against a bad Philadelphia defense.
Ty Lawson at DEN $4,600 Lawson has started the past three, hitting 27+ FP in each of those games. I'm guessing he'll continue to start, as he came through in the clutch last night. He's playing in his former home against a DEN team that ranks dead last PGs. Player Matchup Price Shooting Guard Giannis Antetokounmpo at PHI $10,800 Good spot for Giannis, playing in a tight, competitive game at Philly - a team that doesn't have anyone to slow him down (few teams do). He's cheaper than Harden with a better matchup. Klay Thompson at ATL $7,000 Klay is good in all formats tonight, seeing more usage with Durant out. The matchup isn't too bad against an ATL team that ranks 20th SGs. Nicolas Batum IND $6,800 Batum has been mediocre as of late, but the price is discounted based on that. He's playing up in pace an IND team that ranks 23rd SGs. Tim Hardaway Jr GS $5,500 Hardaway has been brilliant over the past two, hitting 40 and 33 FP. The Hawks really need his scoring ability, and he has earned the right to see around 35 minutes. Kentavious Caldwell- Pope CHI $5,300 KCP is a decent bargain pick. He sees heavy playing time with a solid floor/ceiling combination, hitting 29+ FP in four of the past five. Rodney Hood NO $4,200 Hood broke out for 36 FP in 33 minutes last night. Now he's facing a bad NO backcourt, playing up in pace. There's some risk playing a back-to-back - given Hood's injury history - so pay attention to the player alerts before picking him.
Nik Stauskas MIL $3,900 Stauskas came through last game, and he'd be in line for more minutes if Gerald Henderson is out again (questionable). Nik would be a GPP only pick, as the production isn't guaranteed. IF HENDERSON OUT Player Matchup Price Small Forward Kawhi Leonard HOU $9,200 Leonard has been on fire, and this is an excellent game environment against a Houston team that ranks 20th SFs. Look to him in all formats. Jimmy Butler at DET $9,100 Butler is a decent pick that jumps into the cash game conversation if D-Wade (questionable) is out - which would give him a higher usage rate. UPDATE: Wade out. WADE OUT Gordon Hayward NO $8,000 The matchup is good here, playing up in pace New Orleans. He's a strong candidate for 35-40 FP. Khris Middleton at PHI $5,400 Middleton has looked good as of late, hitting 36, 43, and 28 FP in each of the past three. This is a non b2b set in a good matchup against a bad Philly defense. Middleton is still too cheap. Maurice Harkless at MIN $4,800 Harkless has been seeing more playing time with Evan Turner out. Minnesota ranks 18th SFs, and this is a very good game environment. Terrence Ross NYK $4,500 Simply put, Terrence Ross is too cheap here. He has flourished in Orlando, and that should continue a NYK team that ranks 29th SFs. He would gain more traction if Vucevic (questionable) is out - but he's playable in all formats either way. Player Matchup Price Power Forward
Nikola Jokic SAC $9,900 You saw Rudy Gobert absolutely destroy this Kings frontcourt last night, and Jokic could do the same this evening. SAC is playing a back-to-back game in altitude, following an overtime disappointment last night. Jokic is good in all formats. Blake Griffin BOS $9,600 This is a good matchup for Griffin to bounce-back, playing a BOS team that ranks 21st PFs and 28th in rebound rate. Draymond Green at ATL $8,200 Dray is picking up more slack with Durant out, and this is a great matchup in a highscoring matchup against an ATL team that ranks 29th PFs. Kristaps Porzingis at ORL $6,700 Porzingis has been seeing time at center lately, recording 40 minutes (!) in yesterdays tilt with Golden State. That's promising moving forward and playing against an ORL team that ranks 22nd centers and in rebound rate. Aaron Gordon NYK $5,200 AG has been picking things up over the past two, clearly moving past the injury that hurt his playing time and production. The Magic will need him to pick up more usage if Vucevic is out again, but he's a good play either way. Marvin Williams IND $5,200 Frank Kaminsky will be out for awhile, and Williams played 38 minutes (36 FP) in the first game in his absence. The playing time and role will continue to remain high, and this is a good matchup. Willie Cauley Stein at DEN $4,900 Cauley-Stein's minutes have been up and down as of late. Playing in a back-toback set against a Denver team that may go small seems like WCS is more of a GPP Pick as he could get pinched for minutes. Player Matchup Price Center
Karl-Anthony Towns POR $10,400 KAT is more of a GPP Pick at this price. However, if you can reach him, you likely wont be disappointed in a great matchup. Marc Gasol BKN $8,100 There's some blowout risk in this game, but Gasol has a great matchup against a BKN team that ranks 28th Centers and 27th in rebound rate. Rudy Gobert NO $7,600 Gobert was an absolute monster at Sacramento last night. Does he have anything left in the tank? Utah will need him to counter Cousins and Davis of New Orleans, and this is a game that Gobert could gobble up 20+ rebounds again. Greg Monroe at PHI $6,600 Monroe has been up and down lately, but he's a nice GPP Pick in a good matchup agianst a beat-up Philly frontcourt that ranks last Centers and 24th in rebound rate. Jusuf Nurkic at MIN $5,900 Nurkic is a good mid-range pick in a very nice game environment against a Minnesota team that ranks 19th Centers. Bismack Biyombo NYK $3,500 If Vucevic is out (listed questionable), Biyombo becomes one of the best values on the board. He would need to play heavy minutes, like last night where he went for 36 FP in 34 minutes. IF VUCEVIC OUT
