No refund given for those exhibits forward at the event. Please note, the Society aims to stall all Baby Beef exhibits in the top of Hall 2, and all Senior Cattle in the bottom of Hall 2. Horses must arrive during the following times: Sunday, 26 November - 3.00 pm - 6.00 pm Monday, 27 November - 7.00 am - 7.00 pm Tuesday, 28 November - 7.00 am PWYSO WEIGHING All stock will be inspected before weighing. Gwartheg Cattle All cattle will be weighed once only, between 1.30 pm and 3.30 pm Sunday, 26 November. NO animal will be weighed, shown or sold unless its correctly completed passport is handed in during weighing. For sale purposes, all the original cattle weights will be rounded down to the nearest five kilos. Defaid Sheep All sheep will be weighed once only on arrival. Moch Pigs All pigs will be weighed once only on arrival. GADAEL DEPARTURE Departure from the Showground will be permitted as follows:- Cattle: 4.30 pm Tuesday, 28 November. Sheep: at the close of sale on Tuesday, 28 November. Pigs: 4.00 pm Tuesday, 28 November. Lamb Carcasses: must be removed between 3.30 pm and 4.30 pm Tuesday, 28 November. Please note the rules regarding pre-movement TB testing. Cattle moving to the Winter Fair will require a Pre-Movement Test unless under 42 days old. Cattle moving from a low risk area will be required to undertake a post movement test. 2. The Champion and Reserves of Specials (55, 56 and 57) MUST be offered for sale; if not the prize money will be withheld. 3. The Royal Welsh Agricultural Society strongly encourages the Supreme Cattle Champion to be sold for slaughter and will follow up and publish the grading results. 4. Entries into sections 10 & 23 must include a copy of the auction invoice, which must be submitted with the entry form. 5. Kindly note that the Society will not allow exhibitors to use stalls which they have booked, if they are not being used to stall cattle. No refund will be given to exhibitors if an unused stall is redrafted back to the Society to re-allocate during the event. Exhibitors are advised to cancel any unwanted stalls by 20 November 2017. Any exhibitor failing to comply with this regulation will be noted and action may be taken by the Society s Board of Directors following the event. 6. There is a minimum weight limit for the senior cattle classes, therefore any animal weighing 425kg and under will automatically be transferred into the Baby Beef section. 7. No bulls are permitted. All cattle must be under 30 months old on 7 December 2017. 8. Exhibits must have the primary and secondary tags displayed in such a way for the tag to be clearly visible and in accordance with Welsh Government requirements. 9. The name of exhibit, ear number, breed of sire, breed of dam and date of birth MUST be supplied for each animal entered. No animal, even if eligible, can be entered in more than one section/class. 10. A copy of the front cover of the passport MUST accompany the entry form(s) for each exhibit. All exhibits will be classified by the breed of the sire stated on the passport. 11. Pedigree Limousin Classes - Entries in these classes must be registered with the Limousin Breed Society. Exhibitors are requested to send a photocopy of the Breed Society Registration Certificate with their entry form for checking. 12. Pedigree Welsh Black Classes - Entries in these classes must have been birth notified with the Welsh Black Cattle Society. Exhibitors are requested to send a photocopy of the Breed Society Registration Certificate with their entry form for checking. 13. Pedigree Hereford Classes - Entries in these classes must have been birth notified with the Hereford Cattle Society. Exhibitors are requested to send a photocopy of the Breed Society Registration Certificate with their entry form for checking. 14. Crossbred Classes All crossbred animals must be sired by a pedigree/registered bull. 15. Pedigree Classes The name of the sire must be supplied for all entries into the Pedigree Breed classes (Classes 1, 2, 3 and 14, 15 & 16.) The Society reserves the right to DNA test any exhibit. 3

16. NO animal will be weighed, shown or sold unless its correctly completed passport is handed in before weighing. The catalogue number must be written on the document at the top right corner. 17. If five or more entries for the same breed, entered by three or more exhibitors, are received within the any other pure breed sections, a separate section may be held for that breed. 18. The Society reserves the right at all times to transfer individual exhibits as it sees fit, and to cancel a section if insufficient entries are received. 19. The Society reserves the right to classify all entries by weight. Weight ranges will be adjusted according to entries forward. All weights will be rounded down to the nearest five kilos for the sale. 20. The Society reserves the right to alter the schedule according to prevailing circumstances. 21. The Society reserves the right to limit entries. 22. Division of sections/classes will be at the sole discretion of the Society. 23. All classes and section winners will be judged by their respective judges. 24. The Society reserves the right to proceed with the Championship Judging even if the reserves involved are not available. 25. If a Section Winner/First Place exhibit is unable to go forward to the next stage of judging for any reason, the Reserve Section Winner/Second Place exhibit will not be allowed to go forward for judging. 26. All cattle will be judged in Hall 1 of the Society s Royal Welsh Exhibition Centre. Under no circumstances will judging be delayed. 27. All cattle handlers must be 14 years of age or over on the first day of the Winter Fair. 28. All Cattle must be double haltered whilst stalled. 29. Cattle halters. All exhibitors must leave their exhibits sold at auction, secured by means of a suitable halter tied to the stall ready for the buyer to collect. TALIADAU CÔR STALL FEES The stall payment is included in the entry fee for cattle. A full refund will be issued if the exhibit is cancelled, in writing before Monday, 20 November 2017. No refund given for those exhibits forward at the event. Please note that the Society intends to stall all baby beef exhibits at the top of Hall 2 and all senior cattle at the bottom of Hall 2. PWYSO WEIGHING All cattle will be weighed ONCE ONLY, between 1.30 pm and 3.30 pm Sunday, 26 November. All the original cattle weights will be rounded down to the nearest five kilos for the sale. BEIRNIADU JUDGING The Society reserves the right to alter the judging programme as necessary. The judging order may be altered according to the number of entries forward. 4

ADRAN HEFFROD HEIFER SECTION Beirniad / Judge: Mr Mark Hallam, Meadowhurst, Wetton, Ashbourne, DE6 2AF Entries in section 1 must have been birth notified with the Welsh Black Cattle Society. A photocopy of the Breed Society Registration Certificate must be submitted with the entry forms for confirmation. Entries in section 2 must be registered with the British Limousin Cattle Society. A photocopy of the Breed Society Pedigree Certificate must be submitted with the entry forms for confirmation. Entries in section 3 must be registered with the Hereford Cattle Society. A photocopy of the Breed Society Pedigree Certificate must be submitted with the entry forms for confirmation. If insufficient entries are received in sections 1, 2 and 3, the entries concerned will be transferred to the appropriate classes within the Heifer Section. Entries in section 10 must be purchased at an auction, with the auction invoice submitted with the entry form. Entries may only be entered in one section. CYSTADLEUAETH TRINWYR IFANC YOUNG HANDLERS COMPETITION Beirniad / Judge: Mr Dafydd Lewis, Pentwyn, Cwrt-y-Cadno, Llanwrda, Carmarthenshire, Only cattle entered in the open classes by the closing date of entries may be used for this competition. The cattle must be entered in accordance with the rules of the Schedule. The Judge will judge the ability of the handler to control and show the cattle and not the quality of the cattle. However the cattle must be shown to its best advantage to the judge. The handlers must be 14-26 years old on the first day of the Winter Fair. All heifers and steers must be 426 kg and over. The young handler must complete a young handler entry form and submit it by the closing date of entries, 18 October 2017. The animal does not have to be owned by the handler. The entries will be split into two appropriate age groups during the Winter Fair. Competitors are required to declare their intention to compete during the weighing of cattle on Sunday, 26 November 2017. A declaration slip (provided in ticket pack) should be given to the cattle stewards situated in the hut by the Collecting Ring tunnel in Hall 2. 10 will be presented to each handler forward. Ewe lambs must not be in lamb or have been running with the Ram. 14. Sheep judging will normally take place in two rings; where an exhibitor has sheep to be judged in both rings at the same time, the onus is on that exhibitor to arrange for someone else to show those exhibits if he or she cannot show them him or herself. Under no circumstances will judging be delayed. 15. Any exhibitor wishing to share transport with another exhibitor, please contact your local Welsh Government office to obtain the necessary licence to allow multiple pick ups. 15

TALIADAU LLOC PEN FEES A pen must be booked for each pair of lambs that will be forward at the Winter Fair. A fee of 8.00 (including VAT) will be charged for each pen. The full amount of 8.00 (including VAT) will be refunded if the pair of lambs are forward for judging or if a pen is cancelled, in writing before Monday, 13 November 2017. PWYSO WEIGHING Lambs will be weighed and inspected on arrival. Each exhibit will be weighed ONCE only. It is the onus of the exhibitor to ensure the correct pair of lambs are weighed together, as the Society will not weigh the lambs again if the incorrect pair have been put forward for weighing. Lambs which are entered as being of either pure breeding or cross breeding must be typical recognisable examples of that breed or cross breeding; If not the entry will be disqualified. If any exhibit is disqualified, the carcasses will remain on the showground and must be collected on Tuesday, 28 November between 3.30 pm and 4.30 pm. 6. All lambs must be clean ewe or wether lambs; no tups will be accepted; any lambs showing male characteristics will be disqualified. 7. The Supreme Champion, Reserve Supreme Champion and all Section Winners must be offered for sale; if not, the prize money will be withheld. 8. Any exhibitor wishing to share transport with another exhibitor, please contact your local Welsh Government office to obtain the necessary licence to allow multiple pick ups. 9. In the event of the two pigs not coming within the range of the class in which the pair has been entered, the pair of pigs shall be transferred to the appropriate class. 9. The Society reserves the right to transfer pigs that do not comply with the weight range entered into the appropriate class. 10. The Society reserves the right to limit entries. 11. In the pair classes, each entry must only be represented in the ring by two pigs. In the single classes, each entry must only be represented in the ring by one pig. 12. All pigs must be tattooed or tagged. 13. If Blue Ear restrictions apply at the close of entries, the scheduled class weights will be dropped by 10kg per pig liveweight. Foals entered in the Welsh Sections are eligible to go forward for their respective section championship. 4. Any class with insufficient entries will be amalgamated at the discretion of the Assistant Honorary Director of Horses. 5. The Society reserves the right to limit entries. 6. TALIADAU STABL STABLE FEES A fee of 10.00 (including VAT) will be charged per stable, per night. A Sunday stable will operate from 6.00 pm Sunday to 5.30 pm Monday; a Monday stable will operate from 6.00 pm Monday to 5.30 pm Tuesday. Please note that those who wish to stable for two nights, but are only showing on one day, will need to purchase tickets to allow them to enter the stabling area on the day that they are not competing. No straw will be provided. As stables are limited, not all exhibitors can be accommodated. Therefore, exhibitors must realise that later reservations may have to be cancelled. Exhibitors will be informed accordingly. No stable fees will be refunded after Monday, 13 November 2017. Stables will be provided in accordance with the requirements below and exhibits must be stabled in the box allocated. Stables are to be used for equines only.
