8. AIRLINES The Organising Committee will provide transportation from and to the International Airport Francisco J. Mújica, as well as during the Championship. The organising committee, called the MG Corporate can arrange the flight accommodations for all members of the delegation (swimmers, coach and staff). Although, the flights are not included in the $1,240 USD entry fee per person. The MG Corporate has the capacity and connections to arrange the flights with all the airlines like: Aeromexico Copa Air France Volaris Viva Aerobus Alaska Airlines Interjet Copa Delta United Taka KLM Swiss USA Airways British Airways Air Canada Among others On the other hand the transportation that it is included are buses that will be going back and forward from the hotel to the place of the event to take participants who have finished. The approximate time from the airport to the hotels is 30 minutes 9. SPORTS COMPETITION FACILITIES Name: Sport Unit INDECO Measures: Olympic pool 50 x 25 meters Timing: Electric Pool for World Championships: 25 x 25 meters (10 Lanes) There will be a 25m Warm up/cool down pool (10 Lanes) Transport to and from the pool to the hotels is included The approximate time from the hotel to the pool is 10 minutes 4

10. ACCOMMODATION Several First Class hotels have been reserved for teams. Car Rental Cars are for rent in many places, It's worth comparing the prices. Drivers must be at least 21 years old and must be in the possession of a drivers licence for at least one year. A passenger insurance has to be included; it is possible to take out supplementary insurances. Banks Open Mondays to Fridays 09:00-16:00 horas When you use Travellers or other cheques you have to show your passport. Exchange Offices ("câmbios") always charge commission, although they always say that they don't! Electricity In Mexico they use plugs or sockets of type American with flat terminals, parallel and cylindrical grounded in higher consumption appliances. There are no phase sockets in the rooms, everything is single. The nominal voltage of the power supply is 110 V 60 HZ Telephone Telephone cards ("Crédifones") can be bought at many places. It is also possible to call from the Post Offices, try to avoid the use of the telephone in your hotel room or apartment, it is very expensive! 12. The remaining 70% must be paid at the latest by September 25 th, 2014 with the Entry by name and event. These payments are essential if entries are to be accepted. 13. DSISO CAPITATION FEE The DSISO Capitation Fee of $30 is set by DSISO and is levied on all team members (swimmers, coaches and staff, and any other people who stay with the team) and is in addition to the Entry Fee. 4

ENTRY CRITERIA Rules The Championships will be swum under FINA Rules and regulations, which fall under FINA and DSISO rules. The FINA basic rules and regulations will be adhered. The one start rule shall apply. In the case of a dispute the referee s decision will be final. Conditions of Entry All athletes entering DSISO World Championships & International Competition are required to comply with criteria as published in DSISO Handbook 2012-2014. (Rule BL2 & BL3) Swimmers wanting to partake in these Championships must be registered and in good standing with DSISO by the 25 th June 2014 Entries submitted by swimmers not registered on the DSISO master list by the above date, will not be accepted. Swimmers entering individual events must have achieved International Qualifying times. Only official times achieved after 1 st June 2013 will be accepted. All Swimmers will compete in Open age group category Age Group records will be recognized Athletes must be 13 years or over. The age of the swimmer shall be determined by the swimmers age on the first day of the Championships A maximum of 8 individual events per swimmer. The swimmer s age on the first day of the Championships will be the determining factor for the recognition of age group records. The Event will be run as International Competition (heats) and World Championships (finals) for events up to and including 200m events (where numbers are more than 8) excluding the 25m events. An athlete entering a 100m event or longer will not be permitted to participate in any 25m event in the same stroke, similarly anyone who swims 25m events cannot swim 100m or longer events in the same stroke. In the case of Mosaic swimmers Mosaic finals will be swam if there are 3 or more swimmers. All events exceeding 200m will be swum as timed finals. The Championships will be swum in 8 lanes. All competitors must report to the Call Room 6 races prior to their events. Trophies &Medals Trophies will be awarded to: Top T21 Female & Male Swimmer (from points) Top Mosaic Female & Male Swimmer (from points) Top Team (awarded from the Medal Table) Sportsmanship Male & Female (Nominated by Team Managers from their own team decided from these by DSISO Executive Committee 6

7 th DSISO World Swimming Championships Medals: o World Championships: If there are 3 or more Mosaic swimmers they will swim in a Final. 1 or 2 swimmers become heat declared medalists. o International Championship: Top 3 of the 25m medals will be podium presentations (in the am session) Other medals will be collected by the Team Managers Dress code Costume Protocol: Swimwear worn shall be according to FINA bye-law BL7 Medal winners must be neatly attired in their relevant Country outfits. Withdrawals and Objections (must be done via the Team Manager only) Relays Only the accredited Team Manager of a country may withdraw a competitor, lodge an objection or lodge any complaints. Withdrawals from all timed finals must be submitted 45 minutes before the start of the morning session on the day of the event taking place or beforehand if possible. Withdrawals from finals must take place no later than 30 minutes after the completion of the morning session. Please note that it is important that the reserves for finals report to the Call Room in case of a finalist missing or not reporting for their race. Swimmers failing to scratch or partake in a final will be liable for a fine of US$50 payable before they will be allowed to partake in their next event. Swimmers entering in relays only, MUST be entered into the meet with the original entries. Relay team swimmers names plus reserves must be submitted with the Meet Entries for correct seeding and registration purposes. The final team member s names must be submitted in order of swim, no later than 30 minutes after the end of the evening session the day before the relay event takes place. Substitutions will only be allowed in the case of a medical emergency at the discretion of the referee. Failure to swim in the order listed will result in a disqualification. Countries may enter T21 and Mosaic swimmers in relay events but they will not be eligible for medals and points will not be awarded to the country. If space allows a country may enter two relay teams but only the declared A : team will score points. (based on the first applications being accepted to the race capacity) Protests Protests are possible if the rules for the conduct of the competition have not been observed or if the conditions endanger the competitor/s. Protests may be lodged against decisions of the referee, however no protests will be allowed against decisions of fact. Protests must be submitted to the referee in writing by the appointed Team Manager, together with a deposit of US$100 within 30 minutes following the conclusion of the respective event. 7

Points Points system - Points will be awarded to the 8 top ranking swimmers as follows: Ranking Points Award 1st 12 2nd 9 3rd 7 4th 6 5th 5 6th 4 7th 3 8th 2 Individual points will be based on overall rankings in the World Championships. World Record Bonus points: A new Open World Record will be awarded with 10 points. An Open World Record equalled will be awarded with 5 points. The swimmers accumulating the most points during the Championships shall be declared the overall winners of the Championships for both Men and Women. (T21 & Mosaic). Technical Regulations for Synchronised Swimming A) Categories For DSISO Synchronized swimming competitions there is only one class aged 14 years and over at the start of the Competition. At this time Mosaic and T21 Down syndrome swimmers will compete together B) Competitions Synchronized swimming competitions include the following events: solo duet team (from a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 8 athletes) C) Rules A Full set of the Rules can be found on the DSISO Website www.dsiso.org Other Information Event Schedule will be on the website by August 2013 Qualifying standards are on the website now Entry Forms (Hy-Tek Team Manager file & manual entry form) to be sent after receipt of the Entry by Numbers. 8

NOTES FOR TEAM STAFF All Team Staff will require to submit passport sized photographs by 25 June 2014 for Accreditation purposes (NOTE athletes do not require to submit photographs to organisers). All Team Staff are required to sign and submit the Code of Conduct The local authorities do not allow photography within the pool building therefore ONLY Press, Media and Official Photography will be permitted. The question of whether parents etc can take photos needs to be discussed further please. No Team Staff will be permitted beyond the door to the Final Call-Up Room. Where an athlete is considered to require to be accompanied by a member of team staff at all times, or if a medical spotter is required, the Deck Access Form (see www.imdemorelia.org and www.dsiso.org) is to be submitted to DSISO Technical Director no later than 25 September 2014. NOTE If athlete behaviour is deemed to be unacceptable DSISO or the Organisers may bar the athlete from further competition or require a member of team staff to be present at all times. 9

DSISO Code of Conduct This Code of Conduct applies to all athletes, Team Staff, National Swimming Organisation delegates, Organizers, Officials and Volunteers and is to be signed by the appropriate individual. All athletes, team staff, officials, volunteers and members of organising committees are required to conduct themselves such as not to bring into disrepute the sport, any athlete or other individual or DSISO in any way. Athletes, Coaches, Team Staff and Team volunteers must respect the rights, dignity and worth of every human being and their ultimate right to self determination. Specifically, all persons registered with DSISO, or attending an event promoted by DSISO as a member of a Team or as an Official or as a Volunteer in any capacity are bound by this DSISO Code of Conduct and must treat everyone equally within the context of their activity, regardless of gender, ethnic origin, religion, disability or political persuasion. Coaches/Team Staff and athletes shall refrain from public criticism of fellow Coaches / Team Staff and of athletes. Coaches/Team Staff shall not encourage athletes to violate the Rules of the Sport or the Code of Conduct, and shall actively discourage such action. Coaches/Team Staff and athletes must treat opponents and officials with due respect both in victory and defeat and shall encourage their athletes to behave in a similar manner. Coaches/Team Staff and athletes shall not smoke when with or in sight of athletes. There shall be a complete No Smoking policy at all events where athletes are present, and at the venue, and in the car park/immediate environs of the venue Team members should not consume alcoholic drinks/beverages so soon before working with athletes that their judgement may be impaired and the smell will still be on their breath. Neither shall they drink off-poolside when remaining as a responsible person in charge of athletes. Unacceptable behaviour by individuals or by teams may result in measures being taken by the Local Organizing Committee and/or the DSISO Executive, including but not limited to withdrawal of venue pass/access privileges and/or disqualification from further competition at the Championship.
