GIRLS AND BOYS WINTER BOOT POLICY Grades K-2 Weather dependent, students should wear boots to school AND must bring a pair of uniform shoes to change into for the school day. Students will change into their boots for recess. Grades 3-8 may wear boots with pants (not with jumpers/skirts) at school with pant leg over the boots. SNEAKERS FOR GYM SNEAKERS must be worn during gym class. No wet sneakers will be allowed on the gym floor during class. On inclement weather days when students wear boots, the student should bring his/her sneakers to school and change for gym class. Additional Uniform Regulations All blouses and jerseys must be tucked in. Socks/hosiery must be worn at all times. Hats are not allowed to be worn in the building, nor should they be worn at recess unless it is during the winter. No make-up, colored nail polish or body glitter is allowed.
On half days, the school uniform is required; students will NOT be permitted to change at school. No flip-flops will be allowed on a non-uniform day. When a "non uniform day" does occur, appropriate clothing is required. No cords, chains, keys, etc. are allowed. Shoes with laces must be tied. Students are expected to be neat and clean in appearance. Hair is to be clean and neatly styled. Unnatural hair color and hairstyles are not allowed. Tattoos and body piercing are forbidden. All uniform items should be labeled with the child s name. CONSEQUENCES for uniform non-compliance: 1ST OFFENSE Written warning requiring parent signature. 2ND OFFENSE Detention (Grades 3-8)/loss of recess (Grades K-2). Persistent failure to comply with the uniform regulations will result in more severe consequences as per the Principal s discretion.
