Without risking to be exaggerated, one can simply say that our design No. 1121 is an exceedingly well built, sophisticated blend of the latest technology and materials with tradition. The materials used for the construction of her hull and deck, under Lloyd s survey, are of the latest generation of aluminum alloys and it has been carried out by Derecktor according to their own experience and well known ability. The elegant traditional style interior furniture, built using honeycomb and foam cores, is light and of the highest quality, giving a feeling of sturdiness and strength to the very pleasant accommodation arrangement. She has been designed to be fast and seakindly with the help of our advanced computational programs and experience in large yachts. The deck layout has been carefully planned to make the yacht operation and sail handling easy, during both racing and cruising with a short crew, by using the right combination and number of conventional and power winches and hydraulic systems. The stowage of her large tender below deck has been resolved in a functional and practical manner. The carbon fiber spars and rigging are modern and user friendly. The swept back spreader rig is not runner dependant. The Sail Plan geometry with the short overlap roller furling head-stay will be efficient and easy to use. Thanks to the modus operandi implemented between our office and Derecktor s, I have been able to work very closely with the yard and follow every step of the construction in detail.
