The purpose of this show is to raise money for ten charities. As a participant, you may designate one or more of the non-profit organizations listed below to receive your earnings! Charities/Non-profits selected this year are as follows: Buchanan County Animal Shelter, Hazleton Cedar Valley Hospice, Waterloo PATH( Professional Association for Therapeutic Horsemanship), Denver, Colorado IERAL Iowa Equine Rescue & Awareness League, Cedar Rapids C & W Rustic Hollow Cat Shelter, Nashua Iowa 4-H Equine Program, Ames Donate Life Iowa Retrieving Freedom, Waverly Great Strides of NE Iowa, Decorah Miracles in Motion, Swisher Please read all of the information listed below you are responsible for understanding what is expected of you. Email: selectcharityhorseshow@gmail.com FEES and RULES PLEASE NOTE: As this show is going on during the National Cattle Congress Fair, participants will be required to pay the admission fee to the cattle congress grounds. However, one trailer with driver and one passenger are allowed on the grounds free of charge. NCC charges at the gate are as follows: Friday - kids 17 & under free, adults $10.00, over 60 $8.00 Saturday - 4 & under free, 5-17 - $5.00, Seniors 60+ $8.00, Adults $10.00 Entry fees: 8 & under classes - $1.00 no paybacks 9 & over classes - $5.00 ($2.50 payback) Payback schedule 30/25/20/15/10 Added money classes $8.00 ($4.00 payback plus added) Fun classes $3.00 no paybacks Other fees: Office charge per horse $2.00 Vehicle charge $1.00 (7% sales tax purpose) *Stall fee $8.00 per bag of NCC shavings (you must buy NCC shavings & clean out your own stall) Tack stall $5.00 Camping fees $25.00/night 50 amp service, $15/night 30 amp service $25.00/day for daytime electrical hookup with no camping No guarantee that camping will be available, first come, first serve *Note: The stall charge is only for the bags of shavings purchased from the NCC. One bag minimum per stall. You must clean your own stall out before you leave the grounds instructions will be given to you where to put the soiled bedding. So bring your manure fork and muck basket! All horses must be stalled. One horse per stall. No jumpouts or overnight tie outs allowed. No corrals will be allowed. Parking will be limited. ***Stall reservations are required in advance and are on a first come, first serve basis. When stalls are gone, no more entries will be accepted. No alcohol or food allowed. Food available on grounds. Please patronize the food and drink vendors on the NCC grounds. The use of helmets is strongly encouraged. Show clothing is optional. Polo shirts or t-shirts with your barn name or saddle club are acceptable. T-shirts promoting one of the selected charities or non-profits are considered appropriate and acceptable attire. No sleeveless shirts, tank tops, halter tops or shorts. Western or English boots required. AQHA rules apply unless otherwise noted or class not applicable. Patterns for showmanship, equitation, horsemanship and obstacle/trail classes will be posted on the website prior to the show. Requirements to qualify for the following High Point Awards High Point Miniature Horse - must show in class 48, one in hand fun class, and one in hand obstacle class. May be more than one exhibitor. High Point Pony must show in class 49, one in hand or riding fun class and one in hand or riding obstacle class, one regular riding class. May be more than one exhibitor High Point Horse must show in 50 or 51, one in hand or riding fun class, one in hand or riding obstacle class and one regular riding class. May be more than one exhibitor Note: All horses may show in more than one class of each category, but only their highest score in each division will be counted. High Point 8 and under - exhibitor must show in showmanship, equitation or horsemanship, in hand or lead line High Point 9 13 - exhibitor must show in showmanship, and equitation or horsemanship, and in hand or riding High Point 14-18 - exhibitor must show in showmanship, and equitation or horsemanship, and in hand or riding High Point 19 & over exhibitor must show in showmanship, and equitation or horsemanship, and in hand or riding obstacle and one fun class. Battle of the Barns Exhibitors may compete under a barn or club name. Each entry per barn/club will count as one point.
