PRE-HOMECOMING SCHEDUE Wednesday, August 24 --- T-Shirt Orders distributed in 1 st hour $18 Tuesday, August 30--- Homecoming Court Election --- Grades 9-12 vote on HC court (Schedule TBA) Wednesday, August 31---Runoffs if necessary Wednesday, August 31--- T-shirt orders due to 1 st Hour Teachers. After 8:00 am today t-shirts will cost $23.00. Monday, Sept 12--Wednesday, Sept 21, Homecoming Pre-Sale Dance Tickets during High School unches (Grades 9-12 only) COST OF TICKETS INCREASE $5.00 PER TICKET AFTER THESE SAES DATES. The Manna House will receive a $5 donation for every ticket sold. See page 4 for ticket prices IMPORTANT: Wednesday, September 21 ---Float Riders Permission Form Due to the Front Office. All dress down rules and policies apply see Handbook Page 40-41. Decorate The Door Contest. Students decorate 1 st Hour doors at the beginning of the day. We will be on Mass schedule but decorating will take place at the beginning of the day. MENARD EAGES VS GENERA TRASS PANTHER Tuesday, September 20 DRESS DOWN DAY: HOT TROPICA TUESDAY Dress in easy breezy clothing you can only find in the Tropics. Hawaiian Shirts, eis, Floral Head wreaths ETC. All dress down rules and policies apply see Handbook Page 40-41. TENATIVE: 6:00 pm HC Court Members and escorting parent practice on the field. Wednesday, September 21 REGUAR UNIFORM DAY---Mass Day 8 th grade Retreat ast day to purchase HC Tickets at discounted price. After lunch today tickets must be purchased at the door. Thursday, September 22 DRESS DOWN DAY: ERUPT WITH PRIDE (ike a volcano, let s erupt with pride by showing our school spirit by dressing in lavish green and gold. (hair color and painted faces allowed) All dress down rules and policies apply see Handbook Page 40-41 Friday, September 23 HOMECOMING DAY --- Students dismissed at 12:50 pm for parade. DRESS DOWN DAY: OHANA HOMECOMING T-SHIRTS All dress down rules and policies apply see Handbook Page 40-41 7:10AM MASS in the Chapel for court and all students for Homecoming. 1 st Hour Clean up from Decorate The Door contest 12:17 pm Students report to Gym 12:20 pm Pep Rally in Gym 12:50 pm Report to Parade assignments and all students dismissed from school campus. All car riders must be picked up at the gym entry only. No buses will run at this time. 1:00 pm ineup for Parade 1:10 pm Parade begins with police escort 7:00 pm Football Game---Crowning of King and Queen Saturday, September 24 Homecoming Court Members take photos-tba 8 pm-11:00 pm HIGH School (GRADES 9-12 only) Homecoming Dance on the SUA Campus in the Brumfield Caffrey Ballroom. 4 HSM Homecoming Dance, Tickets and Guests Information Homecoming Dance: OHANA Homecoming in Paradise! The dance is scheduled for Saturday September 24, 2016 8:00 p.m. 11:00 pm, at SUA in the Brumfield Caffrey Ballroom Only High School students (9 th -12 th ) are allowed to come to the dance. All students entering and exiting will be given a breathalyzer test and/or a field sobriety test. Holy Savior Menard does not permit the renting of hotel rooms for pre-event or post-event gatherings. The school does not assume responsibility or liability for damages, loss of property, or injury caused when such rental agreements are incurred by the students or their parents. Tickets will be available to pre-purchase during 5 th & 6 th lunch hours Mon, Sept 12 until-wed, Sept 21. The cost of tickets bought at the door and/or after September 21 will increase by $5.00 per ticket. Monday, Sept 12, thru Wednesday, Sept 21 SOD DURING BOTH UNCHES $20.00 for a Menard Student ticket (each student must have a ticket in order to enter the dance) $25.00 for a Non-Menard Student Guest Pass (students who do not attend Menard). If you bring a guest from another school, you must purchase a Menard student ticket for yourself and a Non-Menard student for your date (total cost-$45.00). Saturday, September 24 AT THE DOOR $25.00 for a Menard Student ticket (each student must have a ticket in order to enter the dance) $30.00 for a Non-Menard Student guest pass (students who do not attend Menard). If you bring a guest from another school, you must purchase a Menard student ticket for yourself and a Non-Menard student for your date (total cost-$45.00). (Manna House will receive a portion of every ticket sold as a donation) (Manna House will receive a portion of every ticket sold as a donation) When purchasing your ticket you will give your name and the name of your date, whether they are a Menard student or not. At the dance you will sign your name and the time you enter/exit the dance. This assists us in knowing who is in the building. Once students leave the dance they may not return and must leave the event immediately. Guest Policy: Students may invite no more than one guest. Guest must be at least a Freshman in High School and not over twenty years of age. ID shown at door. All guests are expected to adhere to the same policies and procedures as Menard students. The Menard student and family assume responsibility for the behavior, conduct and appearance of their guests. Your guest may be required to present a valid picture ID upon admittance All students are required to arrive to the dance no later than 9 pm and may not leave until 11pm.

HIGH SCHOO DANCE DRESS CODE Students and parents share the responsibility for proper dress and grooming. Students attire should be appropriate, modest and in good taste. 5 Boys Attire: 1. Only Suits or tuxes. Ties are required. 2. Dress shoes must be worn. No sandals or tennis shoes. 3. May not wear earrings, sunglasses, hats, or gloves, nor may they carry canes. 4. Hair must be in compliance with dress guidelines as listed in the Parent-Student handbook refer to www.holysaviormenard.com 5. No shorts. Girls Attire: 1. Dresses should be of an appropriate style for a school function. 2. Semi-formal or formal dresses The top may not be low-cut in the front, may not show bare midriff or sides, and must have three inches of opaque material from the natural waistline in the back. 3. Short dresses may not be shorter than 6 inches from mid-knee. No sheer fabric shorter than 6 inches from mid knee. This includes dresses with high slits in skirts. Slits may NOT be higher than 6 inches from mid knee. 4. Dresses may not show a bare midriff or contain cutouts, which expose the torso (front, back and sides). If there is any cut out in the front or in the back below the waist, OPAQUE fabric must be added to cover the area that is exposed. 5. Dress material, which covers the chest to mid-thigh area, must be opaque and not transparent (mesh or chiffon style material is not permitted over this part of the body). 6. If a two-piece dress is worn, the fabric must meet at the waist. Again, no bare midriff in the front, back and sides. 7. Other than earrings, no other visible body piercings are allowed. 8. Dress shoes or dress sandals must be worn at all times, so make sure they are comfortable. 9. Sunglasses may not be worn. Homecoming Court members will be given guidelines for their attire separately. Their dance attire must meet the same guidelines, except boys must wear tuxes. DO NOT ASSUME ANY IBERTIES WITH THESE GUIDEINES WHEN YOU OR YOUR DATE PURCHASES OR RENTS HOMECOMING ATTIRE. ANYONE NOT ADHERING TO ANY OF THE ABOVE GUIDEINES WI NOT BE PERMITTED TO ENTER THE DANCE AND WI BE SENT HOME. THE SCHOO RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ADMITTANCE TO ANY PERSON NOT PROPERY ATTIRED OR FOR ANY REASON DEEMED BY FACUTY AND ADMINISTRATION. 6 HOY SAVIOR MENARD HOMECOMING PARADE HSM Parade: Friday, September 23, 2016 NO student is allowed to ride a float without a signed parental consent form DUE no later than Sept 21 to the OFFICE. Junior High turn into Mrs. Benton. See attached form. Faculty and staff park in the first two rows of the student parking lot. Sr. Park by the field. Parents/Guests attending the pep rally must park in the empty lot behind the student parking area. All students will be dismissed at 12:50 pm---car riders must be picked up at the gym entrance only. If your child is riding on a float then this permission form must be returned NO ATER THAN Wednesday, September 21, 2016, so that we can plan a safe and organized parade.
