Day 1: Arrive in Denpasar, Bali Touch down in beautiful Bali, ready to begin your awesome Bali Intro adventure! Arriving into Denpasar Airport you ll be picked up and taken to your gorgeous guesthouse in Kuta. Take some time to recover from your flight, relax by the idyllic pool under swaying palm trees and meet the rest of your group. You ll soon make friends and get ready for an unforgettable experience in Bali! Day 2: Beaches, Temples & Sunsets Today you ll really get a taste of the blissful paradise of Bali as you kick off with a short drive to a stunning temple, set on a cliff edge in Uluwatu. This spot is a hidden gem just waiting to be discovered! Your next stop is the famous Padang Padang beach where you can laze in the sunshine and switch off on one of Bali s best beaches. Enjoy a sunset dinner with your group before stepping things up a gear as you head back to Kuta to experience some of its crazy nightlife! Day 3: Learn to Surf Make tracks back to the beautiful Balinese coast and the laid-back surfing spot of Canggu, famous for its volcanic sands. Learn how to surf, taught by some of Bali s local surfing gurus, and learn all about this ultimate water sport in one of the world s most epic and exciting surfing destinations awesome! Day 4: Temples, Waterfalls & Rice Paddies Be blown away by the unspoilt natural wonder of Lovina, one of Bali s least explored areas, with its lush rice paddies and fascinating culture. Stop off at two of Bali s most amazing ancient temples en route, for a culture fix. Stop to swim at an incredible waterfall, before you arrive in the spectacular mountain surroundings of Lovina, set high up with awe-inspiring views across the 2/7
ocean and the Balinese landscape. Relax and soak up the unbeatable views from your accommodation, complete with a gorgeous pool bliss! Day 5: Dolphins & Culture Begin another incredible day in Bali with a beach breakfast and then hop on board a traditional outrigger boat, cruising along the sensational Balinese coastline, stopping off for some snorkelling adventures and keeping an eye out for wild dolphins. Visit a local homestay where you can get hands-on learning the traditional art of Balinese basket weaving with the local people. Find out about coffee production at a plantation and get a unique, authentic insight into life in Bali. You'll also have lunch with your hosts! Please note: On popular start dates two groups may be running at the same time. In Lovina on days 4 and 5 one group will stay at our beach side guesthouse with pool not far from the usual accommodation. Day 6: Travel to the Gorgeous Gili Islands A fast ferry takes you across the waters and away from it all, to the idyllic island of Gili Trawangan, which is so unspoilt that motorised vehicles are not allowed here in this slice of paradise. Enjoy some free time to chill and top up your tan and then head out to make the most of the amazing island nightlife. Day 7: Gili Island Bike Tour Gili Trawangan awaits you today. This car-free island can only be explored in one way by bike! Take a biking tour of this gem of an island, snapping photos of the breathtaking views and taking breaks to laze on white sand beaches. You won t ever want to leave! Day 8: Snorkelling Boat Trip, Group Dinner & Party Night Take a boat tour around all three gorgeous Gili Islands today, snorkelling in the crystal clear seas and keeping an eye out for turtles. Once you re well and truly relaxed, you ll tuck in to a delicious group dinner and then make the most of your last evening on the island with a night out partying in paradise! Day 9: Tour Ends (9 day tour) or Travel on to Ubud (12 day tour) If you are booked on the 9-day tour, your trip ends today on the island of Gili Trawangan and your guide will help you arrange your transfer back to Denpasar Airport (cost not included). If you re booked on the 12-day trip, you still have 3 more awesome days left to enjoy Bali, and you ll jump on a ferry bound for Ubud, arriving at your amazing accommodation with time to relax by the pool or explore Ubud town. Ubud s most famous attraction is Monkey Forest, an incredible temple which is home to hundreds of mischievous wild monkeys, and you ll pay a visit here today. Get up close to these cheeky creatures but keep an eye on your belongings those monkeys are experts when it comes to grabbing a bag or two! Enjoy Ubud and get out and about this evening with your newfound friends. Day 11 (12-day tour only): Sunrise Volcano Trek & Massage Head out early from Ubud for an unforgettable sunrise Volcano trek, a once-in-a-lifetime experience! You ll even be made a breakfast cooked using the natural heat which comes from the Volcano. Hike back to Ubud, arriving mid morning and ease your muscles with an inclusive traditional Balinese massage. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy the pool, go shopping or explore more of Ubud. Day 12: (12-day tour only): Bali Intro Ends Your amazing Bali Intro adventure ends today in Ubud and it s time to say goodbye to your new friends and head home. Arrival Information You will need to arrange your own arrival into Denpasar Airport in Bali on day 1. An airport transfer is included and you will be picked up and taken to your accommodation in Kuta, where you can relax and meet the rest of your group. You can arrive in advance of the start date and still take up the inclusive transfer if you book extra night's accommodation through us. If you wish to arrive before the start date then please let us know this in advance. If you have booked the 9-day trip, your tour ends on day 9 on the island of Gili Trawangan. A return airport transfer is not included but your guide can help arrange this for you. A ferry/minivan transfer back to Denpasar Airport takes around 3-4 hours and costs approx 18. We recommend you do not book an onward flight out of Bali until around 7 p.m. on day 9. If you are booked on the 12-day tour your trip will finish on day 12 in the town of Ubud. A return airport transfer is not included but your guide can help arrange this for you. A transfer by minivan to Denpasar Airport takes around 1.5 hours and costs approx 5. All your accommodation is included during the Bali Intro. The accommodation is of a great standard, with incredible swimming pools, private bathrooms, air conditioning and hot water. You'll be seriously spoilt on this brilliant Bali Intro! 2 nights are spent in a gorgeous guesthouse with pool in Kuta, 1 night is spent in a hotel in Canggu, 2 nights are spent in a hostel with spectacular mountain views and a pool in Lovina, and 3 nights are spent in a hotel on the idyllic island of Gili Trawangan. If you have booked the 12-day tour, you will also spend an extra 3 nights in a hotel in the town of Ubud. 2 of the nights will be in multi-share, mixed dorm accommodation, with rooms sleeping 4-7 people. The rest of the nights will be twin or double share. Free Wi-Fi is available in every location, and laundry services are available on all nights except 4 & 5. 5 breakfasts, 1 lunch and 2 dinners are included on this tour. If you are booked on the 12-day tour, then a further 3 breakfasts are also included. Other meals on the trip are at your own cost. Dietary requirements can be catered for but please inform us of these at the time of booking. British visitors arriving in Bali (or anywhere in Indonesia) will be issued with a free visa on arrival, valid for a stay of up to 30 days. You must have a passport with at least 6 months validity from your arrival date. If you wish to stay in Indonesia for longer than 30 days, you will no longer be able to extend your visa in-country, so you will need to apply for a 60 day tourist/social visa in advance of travel.
