Please Fax entries to: 631-239-1732 at least 48 hours prior to show. Faxed entries are preferred but phone entries can be taken at : 631-692-6840, 12:00PM to 6:30PM. No numbers will be distributed without fees paid in full and a signed entry blank by the exhibitor and/or authorized agent and trainer. The show reserves the right to vary officials as well as to combine, cancel, or divide classes if entries so warrant. Classes with insufficient entries may be cancelled or combined. SCRATCHES/REFUNDS: PLEASE NOTE: Scratches must be made in the office prior to the start of the division. If done so, entry fees will be refunded and a scratch fee of $7 per class will be charged DIRECTIONS TO SHOW GROUNDS: LIE to exit 48: Round Swamp Road. Go north at the traffic light at the end of the exit ramp. Stay left at the fork at the next traffic light, and the farm is about 1 mile on the right.

USEF NOTES: All exhibitors in the Pony, Junior, Children s Hunter, and Amateur sections must present their measurement cards at the show office. Every class offered herein which is covered by the specifications of the current USEF Rule Book Zone II, and the LIHSAA will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith. Trophies and eight ribbons are to be awarded in each class. Championships are offered in all divisions according to USEF rules. STALLS: A limited number of permanent stalls with gates are available for $30.00 per day. Please call in advance to reserve. SCHOOLING: All Schooling rounds will incur a $20 charge per individual warm up round. un-judged Approved protective headgear must be worn when riding anywhere on the grounds. Every rider on the property must have a signed entry blank filled out. Life, senior active, and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the advanced level, Dressage, Reining, and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A non-member may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions, and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $30 nonmember registration fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the requirements of this rule; 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk/trot and academy classes (Academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes 9) Citizens of other nations, who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation; 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. E.C. 7/21/08 effective 12/1/08 USEF GR301.5(a)): Minors who do not have a valid driver s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalities may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Rule 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. BOD 1/16/05 Effective 12/1/05 30. If local laws are more restrictive than the requirements MEMBER LONG ISLAND HIGH SCORE AWARDS ASSOCIATION All points won at this show will count towards the annual Long Island High Score Awards. Exhibitor s attention is drawn to the requirements regarding the specified minimum number of shows in which an exhibitor must compete to receive an award in a particular division or section.

EQUITATION DIVISIONS Riders will be judged on overall position with special emphasis on hands, seat and control of the horse. SHORT STIRRUP EQUITATION LONG ISLAND HIGH SCORE AWARD For riders 12 & under who have not shown over fences exceeding 2 3 at a recognized show. May not enter any other division at this show except Short Stirrup Hunter. Classes may not be split unless the class exceeds 12 entries. 1-2. Short Stirrup Equitation X-Rails 3. Short Stirrup Equitation Walk Trot 4. Short Stirrup Equitation Walk Trot Canter If either Mini Short Stirrup or Beginner have less than 3 riders, the divisions will be combined. OPPORTUNITY DIVISIONS This is a great OPPORTUNITY for riders to compete without being members and paying fees. Opportunity Classes- do not need to be a member of USHJA & USEF. Horses entered only in these classes are exempt from the Federation Fee, including the Equine Drugs and Medication Fee; are not required to have Horse Identification (HID) or Recording number but are to list the HID or Recording number if the horse has been assigned this number. Riders/drivers/handler entered only in these classes are exempt from the Federation membership requirements and are not required to pay a non-member fee but are required to list the Federation membership number if the participant is a member. Horse, Ponies and Riders may not cross enter in to any other classes at the same competition. OPPORTUNITY MINI SHORT STIRRUP EQUITATION Open to riders under 14 who are not entered in any other division except Beginner at this show. Once a rider has won a blue ribbon in Beginner they may not compete in this division. 8. Mini Short Stirrup Walk Trot 9. Mini Short Stirrup Walk Trot and Individual Canter 10. Mini Short Stirrup Walk Trot and Single Crossrail BEGINNER EQUITATION *Open to Adult & Jr. Riders who have not competed in a Recognized Horse Show over fences 2 or higher. May not enter any other classes requiring them to jump at this show except for Mini Short Stirrup. Class can be split by age if entries warrant. 11. Beginner Equitation Walk Trot Canter 12-13 Beginner Equitation to be judged over a course of X-Rails. PRE-CHILDREN S EQUITATION Open to riders who are eligible for Novice and are not showing over fences higher than 2 6 at this show. Ponies and horses eligible. Fences 2. 17. LIHSAA SHORT STIRRUP HUNTER: Open to riders 12 & under who have not shown over fences exceeding 2 3. May not cross enter into any other Division except Short Stirrup Equitation. 5-6. Adult Amateur Hunter U/S JUMPER DIVISIONS Horses tied for first place will jump off; the winner is the horse with the fastest time and fewest faults. Ties for other than first place will remain tied, equal points will be awarded, and there will be a toss for the ribbon. Order of go to be determined randomly. LOW JUMPERS Open to any horse or pony. Grand Championship Awards September 2009-April 2010 Riders must compete in at least 3 shows in the award divisions to be eligible for end of series awards. Grand Championships will be given out to the highest point winners in the following divisions: Beginner Equitation: Short Stirrup: Grand Champion Divisions Mini Short Stirrup & Beginner Divisions Short Stirrup Equitation & Short Stirrup Hunter Pre-Children s Equitation: Pre-Children s Eq. Mini Equitation: Adult Divisions: Children s Hunter: Pre-Children s Hunter: Pre-Mini Equitation & Mini Equitation Pre-Adult Equitation & L.I. Adult Divisions, Pre Adult Hunter, Adult Amateur Hunters Children s Hunter Horse & Pony Pre-Children s Hunter Horse & Pony Hunter Divisions: Schooling Hunter, Low Hunter, Special Hunter, Baby Green Hunter Low Jumpers Divisions: Puddle Jumper, Low Jumpers, Baby Jumpers LIHSAA Jumper Divisions: LIHSAA Jumpers, Child Adult Jumpers The Stormy Weather Perpetual Trophy: Awarded to the highest overall point winner of the series. Points are recalculated using 5,3,2,1 for all Hunter Jumper and Eq divisions. Hunter & Jumper Division points are awarded to horse, regardless of rider. Equitation points are awarded to rider, regardless of horse. For Stormy Weather award, points earned in all divisions will be awarded to rider.
