She is beautifully poised on a razor-sharp hull for both a great driving experience and a comfort at sea which few can get near matching. Twinned with a full-beam mid cabin and top-notch build quality this example has the big Volvo engine option and plenty of extras. Owner's Remarks One of the last Windy Tornados built, and very rare with twin KAD 300 engines, giving up to 50 knots performance. One owner from new and always kept dry; never kept in the water. Regularly serviced and meticulously maintained from new by Volvo Penta agent. She s in beautiful condition. Many extras including bow thruster, large cockpit sun-pad, Helly Hansen hood (hardly used), tonneau and overall Windy winter cover.

Construction The 31 Tornado has a monohedral hull with variable section (20 degree deadrise at the stern). Three spray-rails per side higher rail runs full length aft. Single main chine promotes a dry ride with increased accommodation volume. Construction from Bi-directional woven rovings and topsides reinforced with Divinycell core, integrated bathing platform moulding. Laminated foam core frames and transverse stiffening bulkheads. Construction Details The hull and deck are white GRP, with blue Windy topsides stripe. Cockpit and bathing platform are teak laid. High gloss interior cherry joinery with blue/gold cloth cabin upholstery. Blue Sunbrella Windy cockpit upholstery with white piping. Automatic extinguisher to engine compartment. Automatic / manual bilge pumps. Machinery Twin Volvo Penta KAD 300 DP 285hp diesels (Engine Hours: c. 550 as of April 2014). Engines serviced April 2014. Outdrives removed and serviced April 2014. The saloon seating on this example of the Windy 31 Tornado is finished with blue/gold patterned cloth, setting off attractive cream linings and complemented by well-finished cherry joinery. The galley is fitted with a white hard-wearing worktop. The accommodation is lit by 12V ceiling lights with chrome surrounds and reading lights to the aft cabin.
