OMAHA STORM CHASERS BASEBALL CLUB OFFICIAL GAME INFORMATION OMAHA STORM CHASERS 22-24, 3rd American Northern LHP John Lamb 4-1, 3.55 ERA (6 PCL Starts in 2015) LAST NIGHT S LOSS: The Chasers erased a 3-0 deficit to tie up the game, but a sacrifice fly by Carlos Rivero in the ninth inning broke up the tie and was just the third run of reliever Louis Coleman in his 22.0 innings. Aaron Brooks and former Chaser Mike Montgomery both tossed quality starts in the game, but did not factor into the decision. Brooks has not allowed more than three earned runs in any start, and ranks 5th in the PCL with 46 strikeouts. The loss was only the fith for Omaha in their last 18 meetings with Tacoma since the start of 2012. EN FUEGO FUENTES: With his three hits yesterday, his third three-hit performance in his last five games, Rey Fuentes has 11 hits in 20 at-bats this homestand (.550 average). The hot start to the homestand has raised his average from.273 to.315 (the highest qualifying average for the Storm Chasers). Fuentes had just nine hits in his first 38 at-bats at home this season (.237 average). WHAT A KOTCH: Casey Kotchman is one of two batters in the Pacific Coast League this month with a batting average over.400, as he has an average of.403 (27-for-67), and only trails Danny Worth of Reno at.415 (27-for-65). In his 12 games at Werner Park this month, Kotchman is batting at.477 (21-for-44). He also leads Omaha with 12 doubles, tied for eighth in the PCL. A LOT FOR LAMB: Omaha starter John Lamb leads all Storm Chasers pitchers with four wins. The left-hander has received an average 6.3 runs of support in his six starts, the highest run support of any Omaha starter. Lamb has benefitted from two of the four games where the Omaha offense has put up 10 runs. Last season, Lamb had a run support average of 4.0 runs. RB-EIBNER: Brett Eibner has five RBI in his six games since returning from his month-long disabled list stay (right hamstring), and is one of three Storm Chasers players with at least 19 RBI this season. Eibner has racked up the 19 RBI in just 18 games played, the fewest games in the PCL among players with at least 19 RBI (Johnny Monell of Las Vegas has 19 RBI in 19 games). Eibner also has the fewest games played in the PCL among players with five or more homers. BASE CHASERS: The Storm Chasers have nine steals this homestand, after they had just 11 steals in the first 20 games in the month of May. Omaha is one of five teams in the PCL with 20 or more steals in May, with the Tacoma Rainiers leading the PCL with 30 steals this month. DUST BUSTER: Dusty Coleman had no home runs and six RBI in his first 29 games at the Triple-A level, but has two round-trippers and five RBI in his last three games this homestand. MAYDAY, MAYDAY: Omaha has a record of 11-15 in the month of May (one of four teams in the Pacific Coast League with 15 or more losses). Since becoming the Storm Chasers in 2011 has a record of 70-76 in the month of May (2015: 11-15, 2014: 19-13, 2013: 10-17, 2012: 15-15, 2011: 15-15). That is their worst record in any month of the season in the four plus years. STRANGE, BUT TRUE: The Storm Chasers actually have losing records this season when their starter goes six or more innings (7-8) and when they commit no errors in the game (12-13). AVG R.
