ROCK N ROSE EUROPA CUP 2016, June 9 th to 12 th STADE TOULOUSAIN RUGBY HANDISPORT Since 2008, the club works for the wheelchair rugby s development in France, in taking part and organizing tournaments and helping other clubs to grow up. As rugby is the most popular sport in and its region, quad rugby had to be represented at its best level. Today Stade Toulousain Rugby Handisport is one of the main club in France and a reference for its social and sport projects. Some players are regularly called to play in the French national team and they highly contribute to the encouraging results of «les Bleus». Our club brought wheelchair rugby in France in 2003 and we are proud that, thanks to the engagement of players, staff and volunteers, its development knows such a success in many cities. The aim of the Rock N Rose Cup is to actively contribute to this dynamic thanks to an original event. The previous edition was a success with more than 1000 spectators and 6 teams who played at a very high level. We are looking forward to welcoming in our pretty «Ville rose» (litterally «Pink city») quality teams and to offer them a real Quad Rugby thrill. Pablo Neuman President and player of Stade Toulousain Rugby Handisport PREVIOUS EDITION The first edition, in 2008, was a great success, stressed by the Flemish Lions victory and the experience was renewed two years later. In 2010, a sport level corresponding to Professional League of Bernd Best Tournament allowed to gather many players from English, Belgian and Frence national teams. For its third edition in 2014 the level reached one upper step to propose at a Champions League standard with an exciting event of the Friday evening and a great final between the Falcons (Denmark) and the Rebels (Germany). This year, the best European players will have the opportunity to prepare the Rio Paralympics Games 2016 at Rock N Rose Europa Cup 2016. THE TOURNAMENT At its origins the Rock N Rose Cup is a private and independent tournament organized by Stade Toulousain Rugby Handisport to promote wheelchair rugby in France through a high level competition. For its fourth edition it merges again with the Europa Cup to make one fully sanctioned IWRF tournament and to propose a Champions League level to teams and spectators. www.stadetoulousain-handisport.fr 1

GAME RULES Number of players 8 players (men, women) are allowed to take part to the tournament. These players will be able to take part to each game /!\ Maximum 12 persons (staff included can join the tournament) /!\ Equipment Each team must provide two set of shirts, with numbers and of different colors. Wax or glue on wheels is strictly forbidden. Sportive formula - The 6 teams will play against each other during the 2 ½ first days. - Pool matches : 4 x 8 (IWRF rules) - Final, classification final «/4 and 5/6 : 4 x 8' (IWRF rules) Points - Win = 2 points - Draw = 1 point -Defeat = 0 point Teams ranking If two teams get the same amount of points, the winner will be the one that won during their confrontation. If more than two teams have the same points, they will be ranked according to the goal-average (only for the concerning teams). Penalties During the phase of the tournament, a classic disqualifying foul or a disqualifying foul obtained by the addition of two technical fouls, results in a suspension for the next game. IMPORTANT: specify your game shirts colors. TRAVELS Your team can reach by plane, by train or by car (hotels have car parks). Please precise your arrival and departure dates. The competition takes place at Petit Palais des Sports de (3 rue Pierre Laplace). Gym is at 10 minutes away by car from Blagnac Airport (and railway station Matabiau). You can also land at Carcassonne airport (45 min away from ) but extra transportation costs are involved. /!\ Make sure to book your trip in advance because of the UEFA EURO 2016 in (from June 13 th to 26 th ) and its high attendances /!\ INDIVIDUAL FEES They gather ref fees (65 / person) and transportation costs (10 / person) for the way from the airport (or train station) to your hotel, and way back. In consequence, individual registration fees assume the presence at the tournament of six IWRF refs.
