NYPCA 2017 NEW YORK LAW ENFORCEMENT GAMES PISTOL TOURNAMENT July 14 th and 15 th, 2017 Check the NYPCA webpage at www.nypolicecombatassociation.com. LOCATION: Monroe Chester Sportsman Club in Monroe, New York. Range directions are on the registration page. ELIGIBILITY: NRA PPC Rule 2.4 to 2.6 will apply: All regular, special police/peace officers and qualified military personal may compete. Civilians will be allowed to compete however, may not combine with LE to form teams but may have their own civilian team. Civilian scores will not be forwarded to NRA Law Enforcement Competitions. RULES: Current NRA Police Pistol Combat Rules govern unless noted otherwise for NON NRA Sanctioned events. The NRA Police Pistol Combat Rule Book is available on-line at ppc.nra.org. MATCHES OFFERED: Individual Matches: The following individual NRA Sanctioned Police Pistol Combat Matches will be offered. Open Class Revolver Match 6, Open Class Semi-Automatic Pistol Match 13, Stock Service Revolver Match 7, and the Stock Service Semi-Automatic Pistol Match 14. We are also offering the NYPCA Speed Challenge Match and the NYPCA Semi Auto Matches which are not NRA Sanctioned events. Team Matches: There will be three non-fired two Person Team Matches available. Following PPC Rule 19.3, since these are non-fired matches, team scores will not be submitted to NRA Law Enforcement Competitions. Open Class Division Team Match: The individual Open Class scores for the two shooters will be added together for their Team Score. Stock Service Duty Gun Team Match: The individual Stock Service Duty Gun Match scores for the two shooters will be added together for their Team Score. Speed Challenge Team Match: The individual NYPCA Speed Challenge Match scores for the two shooters will be added together for their Team Score. FEES: Registration Fee: $10.00 Individual Match Fees: In addition to the Registration Fee there is a Match Fee of $10.00 per Match for the Open Class Revolver Match, Open Class Semi-Automatic Match, Stock Service Revolver Match, Stock Service Semi-Automatic Pistol Match, NYPCA Speed Challenge Match and the NYPCA Semi Auto Match. Team Match Fee: $ 5.00 per team member for each Team Match. Teams members must be declared at sign in prior to the first relay. Package Deals: All include the required $10.00 Registration Fee. Package 1: $60.00 and includes one Open Class Division Match, the Stock Service Revolver and Stock Service Semi-Automatic Pistol Matches, NYPCA Speed Challenge Match and the NYPCA Semi Auto Match.
Package 2: $50.00 and includes one Open Class Division Match, one Stock Service Duty Gun Match, the NYPCA Speed Challenge Match, and the NYPCA Semi Auto Match. Package 3: $40.00 and includes both Stock Service Duty Gun Matches, the NYPSA Speed Challenge Match and the NYPCA Semi Auto Match. CLASSIFICATION: A current NRA Police Pistol Combat Classification Card or Temporary Classification Score Record Book must be presented at check in. Civilians will be allowed to compete and will be placed into a separate Civilian Category will not have a PPC Classification card to present. New shooters do NOT have to have a Police Pistol Combat Classification to shoot this Tournament. Pursuant to PPC Rule 19.2, new Unclassified competitors or competitors with expired Classifications must fire in the High Master Class. Following PPC Rule 19.15 a competitor may request to compete in a higher Classification than they are currently Classified. Such request must be made to the Statistical Officer prior to your first official fired shot. Keep in mind; should you make this request, you will remain in that Class for the entire games, including Team Matches. AWARDS & TROPHIES: Top Gun Awards: Top Gun Awards will be determined by combining the competitor s first fired 600, first Stock Service Duty Gun Match the NYPCA Speed Challenge Match. Plaques will be awarded to First, Second and Third Place. Top Gun Award winners are not eligible for Class Awards or Individual Match Awards. Certificate Awards: By Class: A First Place Certificate Award will be awarded in each Class. If there are six or more competitors in a Class, Second Place Certificates will be awarded. Class award winners are not eligible for Individual Match Awards. Individual Match Awards: The Lewis System will be used to determine Certificate Awards for the Stock Service Duty Gun Matches, NYPCA Speed Challenge Match and the NYPCA Semi Auto Match. CHALLENGES & PROTESTS: See NRA PPC Rule 16.1 and 16.2. REFIRES: See NRA PPC Rule 9.10. ALIBIS: None, except range officer alibis. TARGETS: The approved NRA Police Pistol Combat B27 target will be used. SCORING: Will be done on-line with competitors scoring other competitors targets. Pursuant to PPC Rule 14.2, NO competitor will score their own target NOR may a competitor score the targets of a competitor from their same agency. If this cannot be avoided due to the Relay s makeup contact a Match Official to score the targets. PPC Rules prohibit the use of plug-type gauges. Overlays and Eagle Eyes may be used by competitors. Score cards must be signed. Once signed and turned in, scores can only be altered by a Match Official with cause based on PPC Rules. So PLEASE double check the recorded hits and values BEFORE signing.
FIREARMS: See PPC 3.1 concerning general allowances and prohibitions for all firearms. Open Class Revolvers: PPC Rule 3.2. A revolver chambered to fire center-fire cartridges.32 caliber or larger. If the trigger is capable of single action it must be capable of lifting 2.5 pounds when the gun is cocked for single action firing. 1. Maximum barrel length of 6 inches. 2. Maximum sight radius 8.5 inches. 3. Sight guards may not extend rearward more than 2 inches. 4. External trigger stops. Prohibited: 1. Grips/Stocks that when measured from side-to-side at the base are greater than 1 ¾ inches in thickness (1.75 ). Open Class Semi-Automatic Pistols: PPC Rule 3.3. Center-fire pistols of.35 caliber or larger. Trigger pull not less than 3.5 pounds single or double action. All double action semi-automatic pistols must fire the first shot of every stage double action except at the 50-yard line. 1. Maximum barrel length of 6 inches. 2. Maximum sight radius of 8.5 inches. 3. Sight guards may not extend rearward more than 2 inches. 4. Extended magazine well funnel. 5. Magazine bumper pads. 6. External trigger stops. Stock Service Revolvers and the NYPSC Speed Challenge Match: PPC Rule 3.6. A factory manufactured (catalog item) revolver capable of chambering and firing.38 Special ammunition. 1. Barrel length up to 4 inches. 2. The front sight being a ramp or post as sold by the manufacturer of the firearm. 3. Replacement of service type sights with other service type sights, luminescent service sights, or fiber optic service sights, provided such sights do not require alteration of the firearm for installation. 4. Chamfered cylinders. Prohibited: 1. Weighted grips or grip panels. 2. Adjustable front sight. 3. Trigger shoes. 4. External trigger stops. 5. Trigger modification as to length, width, or grooves. 6. Tape on the stock/grip. 7. Thumb rest. 8. Any substance that results in a sticky Stock Service Semi-Automatic Pistols, the NYPSC Speed Challenge Match and the NYPCA Semi Auto Match: PPC Rule 3.7. Factory manufactured (catalog item), center-fire semiautomatic pistol capable of chambering and firing.35 caliber or larger ammunition, or FN 5.7 x 28 caliber ammunition. All double action semi-automatic pistols must fire the first shot of every stage double action. Trigger pull not less than 3.5 pounds single or double action. 1. Maximum barrel length of 5.5 inches. 2. Any accessories, parts, and components which are manufactured to duplicate, in materials and dimensions, the original as offered by the manufacturer.

No high speed or Magnum ammunition will be allowed. Ammunition must be loaded to produce sufficient velocity to pass through the target AND the backer. Shots that do not pass through the target and the backer will be scored as misses. Open Class Division Firearms: Either hand loaded or factory loaded ammunition may be used. Wadcutter ammunition is allowed. Stock Duty Gun Division Firearms: Either hand loaded or factory loaded ammunition may be used. No wadcutter ammunition is allowed. Score & Change Targets Stage 3: 15 yards, 12 shots, one or two handed standing without support. Twenty second time limit which includes required reload.
