MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET 1. IDENTIFICATION OF THE SUBSTANCE AND OF THE COMPANY Product Name: Intended Use: Distributed By: Hacsol Solvent-Based Protective & Decorative Paint KGB Engineering Pvt. Limited 126, Hammersmith Off Sitladevi Temple Road, Mahim, (W) Mumbai 400 016. Maharashtra. India. Telephone/Fax Number: 022 24445609 /24445809 2. HAZARDOUS COMPONENT IDENTIFICATION Name CAS No Quantity(%) Hazard Classification Dimethyl ether 115-10 - 6 35 45 R12, S9, S16, S33 Ethyl acetate 141-78 - 6 20 30 R11, R20, R22, R36, R37, R38,R66 R67, S2, S16, S23, S25,S29, S33 3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION CONTACT WAY AND SYMPTOM Eye Contact: Inhalation: Skin Contact: Ingestion: Cause severe eye irritation and blurred vision. Harmful by inhalation. Vapour may cause drowsiness and dizziness. Irritating to skin. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness and cracking. Harmful if swallowed. PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL HAZARDS/ FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS High hazard. Product can release vapors that can readily form mixtures flammable at temperatures or above the flash point. Static discharge. Product can accumulate static charges, which can cause an incendiary electrical discharge.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES Eye Contact: Skin contact: Inhalation: Ingestion: Immediately flush eyes with large amount of water for at least 15 minutes or until irritation subsides. Obtain medical attention if necessary. Immediately flush skin with large amounts of water and soap while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. If irritation persists, get medical attention. Remove to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, administer artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Keep at rest. Obtain medical attention if necessary. DO NOT induce vomiting unless directed to do so by a medical personnel. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Keep at rest. Get medical attention if necessary. 5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES Extinguishing media: Fire fighting advice: Special Information: Special information: Carbon dioxide, foam or dry chemical type recommended. Use water spray to cool fire-exposed surfaces and to protect personnel. If a leak or spill has not ignited, use water spray to disperse the vapors and to protect personnel. If possible, isolate from heat, electrical equipments, sparks and open flames. Use foam or dry chemical type extinguishers to extinguish fire. Avoid spraying water directly into storage containers. Closed containers may explode when exposed to extreme heat. Avoid spreading burning liquid with water, isolated liquid. Fire fighters to wear self-contained breathing apparatus and suitable protective clothing if risk of exposure to vapour or product of combustion. 6. ACCIDENTLY RELEASE MEASURES Person related Precautionary Measures: Environment protection measures: Procedure for Cleaning: Avoid substance contact with eye. Do not inhale vapors. Ensure supply of fresh air in enclosed room. Use personal protective equipment, e.g. respirators, eye protection, gloves and safety shoes. Eliminate sources of ignition Keep public away. Contain spilled liquid with sand or other non-combustible absorbent materials. Wash area and prevent run-off into drains and sewerage system. Advice authorities if substance has entered a watercourse or sewer or has Contaminated soil or vegetation. Clean up all spills immediately. Absorb spill with absorbed and inert materials, then place in container. Disposal in accordance to local regulations.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE Handling : Storage: Keep out of reach children. Handle containers with care. Open slowly in order to control possible pressure release. Do not pressurize containers. Do not ingest. Do not breathe in gas/fumes/vapour. Avoid contact with skin and eye. For personal protection, see section 8. Use only in areas from which all naked lights and other sources of ignition have been excluded. Protect from frost and extremes of temperature. Keep containers tightly closed, Store in cool, dry and well-ventilated place at temperature between 20 degree C to 40 degree C away from heat and source of ignition. Containers that are opened should be properly released and keep upright to prevent leakage. 8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION ENGINEERING CONTROL MEASURES: Provide exhaust ventilation or other engineering control to keep the airborne concentrations of vapors below their respective occupational exposure limits. Ensure eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location. OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS: TLV-TWA (ACGIH) TLV-TWA (ACGIH) PEL (OSHA) PEL (OSHA) Ingredient ppm mg/m³ ppm mg/m³ Dimethyl ether 500 - - - Ethyl acetate - - 400 - PERSONAL PROTECTION MEASURES Respiratory protection: Use of NIOSH-approved respirators with organic vapour cartridges is recommended. Hand protection: Eye protection: Use of solvent resistant type or chemical resistant type of protective gloves is recommended. Use of safety glasses or goggles with side shields is recommended. Skin / body protection: Wear chemical resistant clothes and safety shoes when handling product.

9. PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES Appearance (physical state) : Colour: Odour: Vapour pressure: Vapour density: Water solubility: Ph: Density (kg/l): Boiling Point ( C): Melting point (ºC): Liquid Follow the colour card Aromatic hydrocarbon odour Insoluble 0.87 1.10 (Depending on colour) Flash point (º C): (-16) (-20) Auto ignition temperature (º C): 370 375 Upper flammability or Explosive limit: Lower flammability or Explosive limit: Evaporation rate: Other properties: 10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY Stability: Conditions to avoid: Hazardous Decomposition product: Materials to avoid: (Incompatibility) The product is stable under recommended storage and handling conditions (See section 7) DO NOT expose to extreme heat. Ignition sources or sparks. To prevent the creation of flammable concentration of vapour in air, good natural ventilation and if necessary, local exhaust ventilation, should be provided. The accumulation of dry over spray, contaminated rags, etc may result in spontaneous combustion. Good housekeeping standard plus the regular and safe removal of waste materials will minimize the risk. When exposed to high temperature may produce hazardous decomposition product such as carbon monoxide and dioxide, smoke and oxides of nitrogen. Keep away from oxidizing agents, strongly alkaline and strongly acidic materials in order to avoid exothermic reactions.

11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION There are no data available on the product itself. ACUTE EFFECT: Eye contact: Skin contact: Inhalation: Ingestion: May be an eye irritant. Causes skin irritation. Frequent or prolonged contact may dry the skin, leading to discomfort and dermatitis. May vapour concentration above the recommended exposure levels may be irritating to the eye and the respiratory tract, may cause headaches and dizziness, could be anesthetic and may have other central nervous system effects. Harmful if swallowed. CHRONIC EFFECT: No information available on the product. TOXICITY DATA: Dimethyl ether: Ethyl acetate : LC50 (Inhalation, mouse): 386ppm (15mins) LD50 (Oral, rat) : 5620mg/kg LC50 (Inhalation, rat): 30g/m³ LD50 (Dermal, rabbit): >20ml/kg 12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION Ecotoxicity: Mobility: Persistence/ Degradability: Bio-accumulative potential: May cause long-long term adverse effect in the aquatic environment.
