Ultra Series 2015 What challenge are you taking on for 2015? With the Ultra Series, you have a choice of 5 inspiring endurance events like no other, that you can walk, jog, or run in aid of a charity of your choice. Whether it s a 25km walk, a testing 50km, or the 100km ultra marathon run or walk there s a distance for all! These challenges are perfect for people of all fitness levels, offering softer options for beginners and the ultras for those are really going for it, along with those in between! These are all inclusive events with an extremely high level of hospitality including regular rest stops approximately every 12.5km with drinks and snacks, a fully signed route (you won t get lost!), and hot meals designed to keep you going. By taking part, you ll be making a fantastic difference to your charity of choice and we promise it will be a challenge you won t forget! Passing by stunning scenery, meeting new friends and discovering hidden resilience & spirit, few can describe the elation at crossing the finishing line. Crowds of challengers and supporters enjoy the tented village facilities the music is loud, the warm ups are hot, and excitement levels are high! Groups set off eagerly in batches of 100 on to the river path - runners striding out early to benefit from a quiet course and hopefully a fast time. There s 100km of paths, trails, and roads to get to the Brighton Race Course finish 2/3rds off road with some great food, rest stops and support en route. You ll encounter some fantastic scenery, make new friends, discover resolve and spirit you didn t know you had, and maybe even shed a tear at the end of your epic journey. A unique endurance event along an historic route! It s 100km, 50km, or 25km on the Grand Union Canal towpath - a hidden green corridor that winds its way from the heart of London out towards the Chilterns. The scenery will surprise you the will inspire you - it s London s Great Escape! Most will walk it at their own pace, some will jog parts of it, and others will run the full 100km ultra marathon style! With great on-event support this challenge is achievable. You can choose to do the full 100km challenge or take on the 50km or 25km options; however you choose to do it, there s a challenge to suit you. Set to become a classic on the UK s endurance calendar, the Isle of Wight follows the stunning coastal path loop for over 100km+ right around England s largest island. Most will walk it at their own pace; some will jog parts, and a few will even run the full distance ultra marathon style all will be fully supported all the way. However you choose to do it, it will be a test of stamina and determination, rewarded with a great sense of achievement - a bank holiday weekend to remember! It then heads through scenic countryside towards historic Cambridge. Fully supported all the way, either take on as an individual challenge or round up your friends, family or colleagues to join you! It s a Trail of 2 Cities and a fantastic new for 2015! NEW event addition to the Ultra Series 2015! The full 100km from London to Cambridge, an approx 20-30 hour continuous challenge! The alternative marathon starting in London, is the first 26.2 miles of the event which is open to runners, joggers and walkers. Starting at the Olympic Park, venture off road alongside the River Lea, heading north until finishing in Hertford. Open to all abilities and experience levels, this event is great value compared to other marathons with achievable fundraising targets! NEW addition to the Series and part of the London 2 Cambridge! How to Join By signing up to a challenge, you are committing to fundraising a minimum of 475 (100km), 295 (50km) or 175 (25km) for a charity of your choice. Your fundraising efforts will be making an important contribution to some fantastic causes. We ve partnered with hundreds of the UK s leading charities, to offer you flexibility and a large range of choice. If you re signing up to a challenge as team, you can choose to pull your fundraising together if for the same charity, or keep separate and support different charities. If in a relay team of 4, taking on each 25km leg register for 100 with a team fundraising commitment of 700 for the same charity. Alternatively, if we don t currently work with the charity of your choice, just select Charity Not Listed when registering and we ll get in contact with them!
