He developed the general theory of relativity, one of the two pillars of modern physics. Einstein's work is also known for its influence on the philosophy of science. The flare of the meaty Eid-ul-Adha is on its swing as all of us are busy indulging in the Bar-B-Que parties and meaty feasts. The weight loss and fitness regime gets cooked with meaty and greasy treats as it s really hard to escape and not getting your hands into the spicy Eid delights. The month of October is lined with extraordinary programs. Once again, Kitchen Committee is up for a festival and this time they are bringing variety of Sea Food for its members. Then we have Asthma awareness program which will help our members in management of this chronic disease. In addition to this, Tape Ball Cricket Tou rnam ent, Snooker Tou rname nt, Swimming and Entertainment Fun Gala and Grand Quiz Rama show have also been arranged for our members. I would like to convey my sincere remarks to Ashraf Timuswala for supervising the September Issue of KC Network during my absence. The Scrabble Competition 2015 - Second Edition by Managing Committee Once again Managing Committee Member, Huned Bakir Hussain arranged the war of minds and words for the members of Karachi Club. Second Edition of Scrabble Competition was organized in collaboration with Pakistan Scrabble Association on Sunday, 6th September at Karachi Club Annexe. In this edition we had 3 age groups: 1 - Upto 15 years, 2-15 to 40 years and 3 - Masters. The results of competition are as follows: Upto 15 years: Duha Saleem Ghelli - First Position Eishaa Alam - Second Position Rabia Zafar - Third Position 15 to 40 years: Sharmeen Fatima Ahmed - First Position Shan Qayyum - Second Position Zahra Riaz Nakhoda - Third Position Masters: Abdul Wahid - First Posi tion Wali Muhammad Kubaib - Second Position Ibrahim Ahmed - Third Position Dhaba Karahi Food Festival by Kitchen Committee Living up to expectations of our members, Kitchen Committee under its Convenor, Mohammed Ashraf Timuswala organized Dhaba Karahi Food Festival. Jam packed lawn at the Main Club witnessed a mouth watering evening where different varieties of Koyla Karahi and Balti Gosht were served to the members. Grilled Fish and Baloochi Charga were instant hits. Famous music tunes kept the members entertained through out the evening. Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.

Inter Club KC Table Tennis Tournament 2015 by Table Tennis Committee Karachi Club Inter Club Table Tennis Tournament 2015 was held on 19th - 20th September at the Table Tennis Hall. There were four teams participating in the event: Karachi Club Team A (Players: Mateen Shekhani, Hamza Godil & Abdul Ghaffar), Karachi Club Team B (Players: Kaif Riaz, Ishaq Shekhani & Arshad Shekhani), Sunset Club and Creek Club. It was a league format tournament with each team playing against all the other teams. In the decisive match, Karachi Club Team A cleanly swept Sunset Club with a score of 3-0. With their hard-hit smashes and agile movement, Karachi Club Team A became the winners of the tournament and lifted the trophy. The prize distribution ceremony was graced by the Honorary Secretary, Mohammad Jawaid Zakaria, Convenor Table Tennis, Hunaid Bakir Hussain and Mohammad Ashraf Timuswala, Hanif Shekhani and Ismail Sharif to appreciate the effort of all the players and to encourage young upcoming talent of our club. KC Day & Night Tape Ball Cricket Tournament 2015 (Age Group 13 to 16 years) - by Cricket Committee KC Cricket Committee has organized yet another successful Cricketing Event on Saturday,19th September at KC (MAIN) Lawn. This time players of the age group 13 to 16 years showcased their talent in front of lively KC Members. In total approximately 104 players participated and were divided into 8 Teams. In total there were 11 matches played including two Semi Finals and a Final. The Grand Finale was played between KC 5 (Reds) and KC 7 (Purples) in which KC 7 scored 67 for 5 in allotted 8 overs and in reply KC 5 chased the target handsomely and became Winners of the Tournament. Man of The Match of Finals was Yasin, who scored 35 runs and took 1 wicket. All Man of The Match were Awarded with cell phones which was sponsored by Advance Telecom. Thus, Cricket Committee deserves an Handsome appreciation for holding such an exciting Event. WELL DONE KC CRICKET COMMITTEE! The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination.

Defence Day 2015 by Entertainment Committee Defence Day - An unforgettable day of the Pak-India war of 1965 in which our national heroes fought to save our country Pakistan from the hands of enemy. Many lost their lives in the process and many survived till the end to witness and conquer. It was the Golden Jubilee of Defence Day on 6th September 2015 and our patriotic members of Entertainment Committee under the leadership of Muhammad Munir Columbo organized a wonderful event 50th Defence Day Celebrations 2015 in collaboration with ISPR (Inter-Services Public Relations) on 5th September in the memory of all martyred officers and invited some of their families to pay tribute to those brave superheroes. The lawn of Karachi Club was filled with KC members, military officers and their families. The movie clips of the war were shown followed by National songs performed by various artists. The evening ended by presenting the mementos and gift hampers to the families of Shaheeds and Army officers by Guests of Honours Aqeel Karim Dhedhi and Zakaria Usman. In this connection a series of sporting events were also organised by all sporting departments of the Club. Prize distribution for those events were also held on the same day.
